Being that I am a big fan of the Bladur’s Gate series I was very happy to hear this would be released alongside the PSP. Once you get past the initial wow factor of the PSP, still drooling myself, you’ll begin to appreciate the level of detail in the game. The standard fair of weapons and armor is available, each of which can be augmented with crystals that you find within the game. The game also sports over 100 quests! That’s alot of gameplay for a handheld game. Certainly larger than anything on the DS.The game does not have any voiceover but the text and accompanying illustrations certainly add to experience. There is a bit of a load time between levels and as long as you have the time to play in the first place, it should not bother you too much. The sound effects are very effective in conveying dungeons and other surroundings.I was amazed at the particle effects that add soo much to the very minute details through out the game. The inventory screen is quite uesable although I noticed a bit of pausing once my inventory was full and I was scrolling through my items. Other than that, you’re shown a small 3-d representation of yor character and their current loadout. You can make out their haircolor and current armor and move around them to see what they’re wearing or carrying. All in all, for fans of Diablo, Baldurs Gate, and Neverwinter Nights a great game with hours and hours of gameplay.

The game is easy to play but a little sketchy on the effects of the skills and spells. All in all, This was a good choice for the PSP. If you get this from Gamestop be sure to get the printed manual. It is very important to chose your additional skills as you progress.

This game is pretty much Diablo for the PSP. Which is saying a lot. The graphics are detailed and easy to follow. There are plenty of levels and lots of different monsters to chop. As you get into higher levels, you have to think more and ginsu less. The controls are mostly intuitive, and are close enough to just start playing at first and RTFM later when things get tricky. This game makes me start thinking of my PSP as a PS2/XBox replacement rather than a GameBoy competitor. Why hassle with the consoles when I can play this on the bus, on the pot, on a plane. etc. The XBox360 and PS3 will have to offer *significantly* better/different games for them to make me decide to get one of them rather than more PSP games.

Enjoyable game, if you liked Diablo II, or Diablo for the PC, this is very similar, my only real complaint is that so far it’s been a tad easy, I’ve not really found anything much of a challenge.

I really enjoyed this game. I am playing this game for a second time. Takes me months to beat, a real surprise since it was made for a portable system. I am not really into RPG’s with the exception of the Star War’s Knights or the Old Republic 1&2 and this game but I really enjoy this game. A great buy for anyone who owns a PSP. I even heard that they are making a second one for the PSP.

This new RPG adventure for the PSP is much like all other newer RPG games, its a mindless hack n’ slash game without a very interesting story line. The game takes ideas from many other RPG and puts them into their gameplay, such as buying and selling stuff to merchants (Morrowind), travelling to underground dungeons to fight the dead (Champions of Norrath and Everquest) and leveling up for enemy kills (The Lord of the Rings games on GBA.) However the game lacks in certain areas, such as buying and selling, you cannot choose the price you would like to buy or sell items for, instead they are automatically set, unlike other RPGs and the enemy types often get repetitive. Besides the few number of setbacks this game has, it also has many great features such as hundreds of different weapons, armor, and accesories that can all be customized to fit your character as well as certain moves your character can perform to cause extreme damage to your foes. In the end, I highly reccomend this game considering it is the only game of its type available on the PSP at this time, and it provides many hours of fun.
