My son loves this game and still plays it.

This is a title that provides all a gamer’s needs: kick as action, killer story-line, hot chicks, a variety of sick gear, and insanely cool bosses. It is so out of this world it can’t even be defined as a dungeon crawler, because that doesn’t do it justice. A must have.

I am a sucker for dungeon crawlers. The Dark Alliance and Champions of Norath games rank highly on my “favorite games” list so I have kept a keen eye on Untold Legends. I could not think of a better genre to help push me over the edge and pick up a PSP at launch. Now that the PSP is on retail shelves and the game is in my hands, I have to say I am satisfied with the purchase. However, while the game ultimately delivers on a number of levels, it does fall short in other areas that keep it from receiving a full recommendation. As I mentioned, I am a sucker for this type of game so my tolerance for minor annoyances is much higher than others might be. I am able to look beyond the weak story, limited character classes, occasional graphical glitches and long load times. Why? Because the game is just damn fun to play. My wife has already instituted a “no PSP in bed” policy because of this game. I just cannot put it down and when a game has that type of effect on me, I feel it is worth the price of admission. The thing that keeps me coming back for more is a well designed character advancement system. As your character advances in level, a skill tree expands allowing customization within the various classes. Some of the skills had minimal impact while others really made a difference. In addition, loot hounds will rejoice in the constant weapon and armor upgrades generated by the loot system. An easy augmentation system allows enhancements to be added to weapons and armor on the fly al.

Fun game my girlfriend wanted this game because when she was younger her and her brother played it

I picked up Untold Legends because a friend of mine who I used to play Champions II with told me it was the same thing. It really is, and this is not a bad thing at all. It is an interesting adaptation of it, done very well on a portable. As many reviews have said it is incredibly alike to Diablo 2 or Fate. If storyline is a major factor in your decision, I would not suggest this. I can remember a multitude of areas and regions, but absolutely none of the story. If you have never played the afore mentioned games then let me tell you that this is frankly like a glorified Flash Adventure. This is actually a very good thing, the gameplay is simple but very enjoyable and the graphics are pretty good as well, considering how early this was released. For an eagle eye, action adventure, this game delivers.

  6. Michael J. Heller

Great game, good graphics, and a ton of variety with character types. The sounds effects are amazing along with the engaging music. If you like Neverwinter Nights, Dungeon Siege, or Diablo 2, you’ll enjoy this game.Downside? Load times are bad sometimes . . .1 – 2 mins is a long time but what can you expect from a disk-media type game system.Regardless, the game is great and it’s a must for RPG fans.

  7. rockinfilmmaker44

Haven’t really played too much of this game yet, but from what I’ve seen: it’s good and enjoyable. The game is definitely in line with games like Diablo, Baldur’s Gate for console, and other games of that caliber. I don’t know that it will meet their bar, but it definitely looks to be enjoyable from what I’ve played so far.

  8. Yodamind

When I first picked up this game, I was a bit worried since some users rated it as average or poor. Then after getting started with it on my PSP I feared for the worst. The prologue and sketches made me think the game was indeed a dud. To my surprise I couldn’t have been more off target! Once I built my character (knight) and started gaining weapons, strength and powers – the game has done a full 360 degree turn. I absolutely love the gameplay. It is a perfect challenge without excess frustration. The “hack and slash” aspect is a total blast! There are some beautiful graphic elements when using magic spells, potions, etc. I would say that the very title of the game is a great analogy. The game offers some “legendary” fun, but will be “untold” by those who are too hasty to discover the strategy behind it. If you just got this one, give it some time to figure out the upgrading of charaters, work with weapons/magic and challenges. You’ll find yourself lost in fantastic gameplay, always looking forward to play more!

  9. Jason Frisvold

This game is great. The graphics, sound, and gameplay are top notch. This game is very similar to Diablo, and that’s a good thing! I’m thoroughly enjoying this game and I’m looking forward to a sequel???!!???

  10. Boo
