Super fun game with progressive levels that use skills you’ve already learned in the previous game Harry Potter Years 1-4!! My son loved the new perspective of the animation.

I prefer the Lego Harry Potter, Years 1-4 for DS, but this version isn’t bad. I have played the MAC version of Years 1-4, so I am familiar with the layout/controls for 5-7. If I were not familiar with the MAC game, I am pretty sure I’d dislike this one. That being said, once I got used to the controls, I found this game a little easier to follow. Knowing how to use the spells made the gameplay easier to anticipate than the previous game, as there was no bothersome having to redraw a spell because it wasn’t drawn well enough.I do miss the in-game character dialog a lot, it made the game progression easier to follow. Some of the scarier aspects of the books/movies are glossed over, so it makes the plot pretty choppy.
