Lunar is a very good game. Its an old school classic that is mostly overlooked in favour of other games such as Final Fantasy or Breath of Fire which were all released around the same time.If your looking for an RPG with a fairly interesting plot you should consider this one.

Growing up one of my favorite games on the Sega Genesis was Lunar: Silver Star Harmony. The storyline was awesome as well as the gameplay. It held a place in my heart and played it till my Genesis was retired! I played the playstation version and enjoyed it but felt it didn’t hold my interest like the original. I was really impressed with the PSP version. They found the original voice artists. They had added story lines to freshen the original but kept what I loved about the game. Plus with the PSP I can take it with me. Now while the kids are watching a movie in the back seat, I can play while sitting in traffic (Don’t worry, my wife is at the wheel!! LOL) Join Alex in his quest to become the next Dragonmaster. Along the way he meets interesting characters. There are cut scenes in between that don’t take away from the gameplay. The new stories injected are fresh and still make me love the game. Even the battle system has been updated and I like it more than the original. All in all its a good play, great price, and the fact that I can take it anywhere is the icing on the cake. Whether you are a longtime admirer of the game or a new player, you will enjoy everything this game offers and will become a fan! So Go now and buy Lunar: Silver Star Harmony.

I saw this game and read the reviews for it and thought it sounded like a game I’d like, and it really was. I couldn’t stop playing it for days until I beat it. The graphics were really great and I wanted the story line to just keep going. They actually could have done even more with the game and made it longer because I did not want to put it down. My only annoyance with this game was the voice acting. The voices of the characters were really childish. I would have preferred the speaking to have been in subtitles because the voices were just a bit cheesy. The game was phenomenal though so in the end I really didn’t mind that much.

I remember we had a Sega CD and we brought this game called Lunar, we had no idea what is it about or what does the word RPG means. We were stunned, its like watching an anime movie but instead you have control and you participate. It is a fantastic game and now it is on PSP, what do you need more? A great game on a great platform and its remake is perfect.

I have bought every version of Lunar when it comes out because I love it so much (Sega CD/Saturn/PS1/GBA), and I bought a PSP for this game alone. The characters are very fun to play with, and you end up caring a lot about the characters.I will say there seems to be a few seconds load time problem when you go though houses/rooms. It makes exploring the towns a bit of chore…but its not something that is a game killer (I put up with Lunar 2’s terrible loading times on the Sega CD for battles…so I can put up with this). All of the songs/voices have been changed from the PS1 version, which is disappointing. I really liked the boat song in the PS1 version, but this one is okay. The cut-scenes are all taken from the PS1 version (the aspect ratio changes from widescreen to 4:3). Why they didn’t remake them for the PSP version?Overall the game feels WAY easier then any other version of the game. You can bypass a lot of enemies and still have no problem killing the bosses. So if you like turn based RPG’s that easy to play and beat you will enjoy this game.So with all of those downfalls I mentioned earlier why should you bother playing the game? Because the game is fantastic! Plain and simple. If you have never played a Lunar game before you are missing out on a great series. The first one is a classic and its so well loved its been remade over and over again. You should buy it now!

In a single word, Perfect. This is frankly the best RPG I ever played. Great story, great characters, interesting plot and one of the best control schemes I have ever seen on any RPG.

It is a fun and exciting game. I purchased this based on my love for the old style turn based RPGs or yesteryear, and the positive reviews here. The gameplay is classic, the graphics are cool and the story is compelling. Hope you enjoy this game as much as i have!

The game arrived before I was expected. It’s a remake totally new, with new graphics and new music. If you have played the old game, I recommend you.If you not played, but you like the good adventures, this is your game!

I was pretty excited to find out about this new update to one of my favorite Role Playing Games. Though I never did get to play the game when it was first released on the Sega Saturn, I did get to experience to Playstation version which I adored. So, how does this game compare to that re-issue?To start with, the most obvious difference between this one and the PSone version is the graphics. Due to the power of the PSP, this game is given a pretty overhaul and the game has never looked better. The environments and the characters are more vivid and detailed than before. Also, the effects of the magic and skills are are beautiful to witness. To me, the single most important part of any Role Playing Game is the story followed by the characters. I’ve played role playing games that may not have had the most original story, but what they had was told well and the characters made an average story a better one. Lunar is one of those games. This version offers a bit more insight into the story of the four hero’s and how their final battle which does add more context to the main story. The only gripe I have with the story is that the dialogue has been altered a bit. It seems they took some of the more risque comments out and some of the language has been removed as well. This may not bother some folks, but I don’t like censorship and would have preferred them leaving well enough alone. This is one of the few games where it is enjoyable to talk to NPC’s because after events happen, they u.
