My 6 year old daughter is starting to get into super heroes and has become a big fan of the Super Hero Squad show. When she saw this game she begged to pick it up for us to play together. It plays very similar to the Lego titles in that you have a variety of characters with different powers going through levels collecting Infinity Gems and some other collectibles. You can also revisit levels with new heroes in free play mode to get some collectibles that you can get only with heroes who have certain abilities. The humor of the show is present, so if that is a turn off look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a light hearted game with Marvel Heroes or something to play with your kids, it’s worth a look.Also: Be sure to buy it new as the game includes a code for Captain America as DLC.

I’d agree with the other reviews- I got the game for my 6 year old nephew and he loves it. (He also loves the lego games.) He played it pretty much straight through over the course of 3-5 days and I had to drag him away from it. Now that he’s ‘won’, he still goes back and plays levels over again. There’s a nice mix of heroes and a lot of humor. Younger kids who like superheros should enjoy this one.
I bought this game for my 6 year old. I had a hard time getting him to stop playing. He loved it and that’s what I wanted. He’s already asking for Super Hero Squad 2.
Purchased for a Christmas gift for our 7 year old grandson. He likes it. Told me he was having fun.
I got this for my god children. They like it, but seem to enjoy some other disney game with Jack Sparrow and Mr. Incredible more…lol!
this is a old game that I could not find in the stores anymore. My grandson like to play with the xbox but sometimes it’s hard to find games he like that are suitable for his age.
This game is great and a lot of fun. My son loves it! However he is 4 and although I help him, some of the levels are so hard to beat that it becomes outright frustrating at times….
I bought this to play with my 4 year old and he loves it. That might not mean a whole lot because he loves all things that have superheroes but he really loves the squaddies! The controls are still a little too hard for him but he loves to watch me play and tells me which character I should switch to at different times.Although this game is a little short at about 5 hours, it is a fun time while it lasts and does have some decent replay value in that you can replay the levels after you beat the game. You are then allowed to switch characters on the fly and this will allow you to collect more stones and get more achievements.For the price this is a steal. It is definitely not shovelware like I was afraid of. Not enough here for adults on their own, but if your kids like the Squaddies it is a no-brainer!

I got this game for my 7 year old. it helps him on each level. He is new to video games but he can read the screen as he moves to the next stage and it advises him on what to do.

My 6 and 8 year olds have been playing this game every weekend. My 6 year old generally does not play video games because the titles are too difficult for him–even many of the Mario games on the Wii; the 8 year old plays many titles. What’s surprising is they play well together and the game isn’t too hard for the 6 year old, yet the 8 year old doesn’t seem to think the game is too easy for him.

I purchased this game in order to play a cooperative game with my 7 year old son. It’s very similar in game play to the Lego games. We are having a good time with it. It’s not going to be a good fit for older players looking for a challenge, but it’s a fun little diversion and it is priced right.
