I love this game, it can be extremely aggrivating, (especially the final boss)… but its really an awesome fighting game in my opinion. *it should be stated i’m not really a hard core fighting game person*…. I love all the characters unlocked, and the variety. There are different modes to help you build your skills if its been a long time since you played a game like this, and the variety of difficulity settings make it easy to start building your skills back also…Part of it is some of the awesome character combinations you can make on your team (you pick 3 characters to be on your team)… lol, its just something about being able to have spiderman, ryu, and capt’ america (among other combinations) on a team that brings out the excited kid in me…

Fighting games are not my favorite type of video games. Generally, they get repetitive quickly and lack replay value. But there’s been a few that I really liked, regardless: World Heroes, MK Trilogy, Killer Instincts Gold, Dead or Alive 2, MVC2. It was time I added a fighting game to my 360 collection. I went with UMVC3 because it was under $20 and my past experience with MVC2.To put it simply: this is a great fighting game. Lots of characters, lots of individual moves, great graphics & animations, and very responsive controls. While in a fight, the experience may be the best out of all the games I mentioned.Outside the battle, though, there is little to no creativity or effort. This is year 2013, and I expected more from a fighting game.I liked the concept of the story line, but no effort was made to develop it as you fight your way to Galactus. There could have been a cut-scene of him after every victory; at least! The endings for many of the characters make no sense and will have you saying "What?!! Did I read that right?" They set the bar high after the very cool intro, making it seem like there is chaos in the streets featuring epic battles between iconic characters; The world is in turmoil and you will help determine the outcome. Story/Arcade mode drops the baton, though, and everything feels like a straight forward fighting game. It’s not till the end when Galactus reappears that you are reminded "Oh yeah. The fate of the world. Right."Training mode is.

As the title speaks for itself if you have bought yourself a copy of regular marvel vs capcom 3 you don’t really need this unless you really would like the 12 characters that are added.- Much like it’s predecessors the characters require much time and discipline to understand and master so if you have the patience & time then this game is for you. The gameplay is very fast paced, and requires much knowledge of being able to read your opponents and being able to respond to what they may throw at you….Whether it is spamming from a far with lances (Arthur from Ghouls n’ Goblins), or people comboing the living daylights out of you in a corner.- There are 3 modes included with UMVC3:*Offline Mode: Here have you your basic Arcade, Training, Versus, and Mission mode (mission mode containing a staggering 480 combos to learn and do) at the final stage of arcade you have much to look forward to in battling Galactus and his Heralds (minions). *sidenote* there are 6 stages before the Galactus battle.*Xbox Live: Here is where your skills will be put to the test where you can look for player matches or ranked matches, much time will be invested in training before you can plan on competing in this mode not to discourage anyone from buying this game.*Heroes & Heralds Mode: In this mode you have 3 decks (A,B,C) each deck contains 3 slots for a card, each card has a perk that will aid you in battle where you can pick a main card for extra effects, as the name implies you pick either the hero.

Another great PvP fighting game from Capcom! This game is essentially a more robust re-release of the Marvel VS Capcom 3 game, so if you already have a copy of that game, you don’t really need this one. The only real difference to this game is the inclusion of more playable characters. If you are not familiar with Capcom fighting games, you may be a bit surprised, at first, as to how fast-paced this game is. It is possibly the fastest-paced game I have ever played. Each character has their own signature moves and combos that must be executed perfectly and at just the right time to maximize their effectiveness. Due to the high amount of skill needed to pull off these moves, some players may find it frustrating at first. They will most DEFINITELY find it frustrating if they jump into the fray against a skilled opponent. Seeing an opponent give your character a smack-down with a 50+ hit combo that nearly vanquishes them in one assault will be more than a little intimidating and humbling. This is a game that really takes some invested time to master, and Capcom HAS included the option to play a “Simple” mode, that will allow most players to pull off some devastating moves without fully learning the controls and the nuances of the game. Once players get the hang of the game play and learn the strengths and weaknesses of each character, the game becomes much more fun to play. This is a game where there can be tremendous swings in advantage within mere moments. At one moment it could.

This is a great game to pick if your into crossovers. I’ve personally been a fan of this game ever since MvC2 came out back in 2006 I beleive. It has 48 characters to play with. (50 if your counting the 2 DLC charaters RE5 Jill Valentine and Shuma Gorrath) It features almost 12 DLC skin packs (makes the characters look similar to other popular characters, e.g since X "Mega Man" didn’t make it to UmvC3 Zero "the Mavrick hunter" has a skin that makes him look exactly like X). Again this game is amazing pick it up soon, cause you will not find it at gamestop, gamecraze, etc… (Ps. I have it on Xbox 360 and Ps3 so if your looking for some matches add me: BlindStatue)

If you were a huge fan of the original marvel vs Capcom then this game is for you. It has close to 50 characters and they all have a unique moves that are from the comics and games they originated. The journalist photographer from dead rising is in this game and has some sick moves as does the character leon from resident evil. Worth buying the ultimate addition over the other one because this give you all the characters without making you pay for them separately.

I bought for two kids, ages 12 and 14. They had a blast fighting their favorite characters against each other. You play with three characters a piece. Each of which have their own special abilities. They had great battles against each other without ever reading the instructions. They just guessed what the controller buttons did (they have an XBox). I did figure out that the "b" button switched your character out like a tag-team wrestler. The rest of the buttons worked in combination with with the joy sticks to invoke special strikes against their competitor. No crude language was spoken. No gory scenes. Just a lot of boxing and special moves a heck of a lot of fun.

I was one of the fortunate ones who did not purchase the original Marvel vs. Capcom. I am not a typical fighting game player, and I have only owned maybe a dozen in my 20 years of gaming. However, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom, I believe, is one of the best and most accessible fighting games I have ever played. The controls are not too difficult, and the learning curve is not very steep. However, even once you have ‘mastered’ some of the combos for different characters, you will still find yourself losing on occasion – there’s enough of a challenge to keep you coming back. Galactus, as others have noted, is a super-cheap end boss, but beating him is one of the most rewarding feelings I have had after stomping an end-game boss (ever!).The ensemble of selectable characters is great, and the game includes bios, rated stats, and 3D models for each character, which I think is a cool touch. You can find out when each character made his or her first appearance and learn more about them…I never played Devil May Cry, but liked Dante and Trish in this game. The graphics are very good, and although I have been playing since the days of Atari 2600 (my uncle owned it), I feel like I don’t need better graphics in my fighting games. They’re a little cartoon-like, but the colors are bright, and there was not any lag on my 360 while playing it. Some of the combos are just plain awesome to watch being pulled off, and certain teams are much more effective than others.I had no problem playing the.

I have this game on so many different platforms and at the time of this purchase I was having issues with other consoles so now that I had this on multiple consoles to play and enjoy now that is one error no matter how high or how low you put the damage now we’re talkin verse or arcade not online that’s a different situation but no matter what you put it on the 12 new characters seem to take be most damage on you in a single combo compared to how the vanilla version of Marvel versus Capcom 3 was everything but the balanced perfectly so I think the balancing is a bit off on this game and I’m sure I’m not the only person around the world that believe that also

Good easy game for intermediate gamers.
