I have owned and played EVERY version of this series. I’ve been playing with Doctor Strange, Captain America, and looking for a third to play as a main team. Finally had to buy this game (had been playing my friends since vanilla). Amazing game! I’m not a fan of fighting games (since SoulCalibur2 on GC) but I’m just too happy about this game! The tournament and marvel scene is amazing and the game is just too hype! Would recommend it for someone who likes fighting games, the FGC, or has someone to play it often with. Too Good!
Marvel Series games are always a must in your collection and this game is no exception, if you love to mash and as much crazyness on the screen, this game is for you, it’s simple to learn and easy to start playing online, but because of that, there are ALOT of people that know how to play this game easily, so if you’re competitive and are good at fighting games this game will give you the "I’m a Pro" feeling, but if you struggle at fighting games are competitive, this game will frustrate you like no other game when you lose, and you might end up hating it haha! Of course I am the sore loser, but I still play it from time to time!
My boyfriend and I use video games as a free time activity for us and we play a lot of co-op or versus games. I’m not generally one for getting my butt kicked in a video game, but my boyfriend seemed keen on getting this game so we did. If you are familiar with the characters on either side, it’s a fun game that allows you to fight as notorious characters. Fun, entertaining versus game. A worthwhile purchase for a free time activity.
I usually dont play fighting games,but after seeing some gameplay of this game online I decided to give it a shot.Being new to the series I came in not knowing anything about this other then the video I mentioned earlier.Oh,and I paid my due’s when I first went online.I went 1-19 online after deafeating the arcade mode on normal.I know,I know, I jumped in to online match up’s too soon, but I didnt let that dicourage me as the game offers mission mode that teaches you the basic of each charater.That added with some online tutorials I quickly learned enough combo’s to actually be somewhat of a force online,even though I still cant pull of thos 50+ combo’s that some people pull off.Oh yea,before I forget.I personanlly havent ran in to spamers as other reviews suggest online,maybe 1 or 2.Other than that I gotta say for 40 Bucks this game improved very much over the previous vanilla MvC3 and is a steal.Get it!!!

Caught in a bad position, the development team had a choice: abandon the game or rush out a single disc-based expansion with as much content as could be crammed on it.Business controversies aside, what matters in the end is the game itself. Content is not an issue this time, as by the time of this review the free update installing the Heroes & Heralds campaign mode is available, giving players plenty to do when not playing other human rivals "for keepsies".Separate hurt feelings at the publisher from the development team and the game itself, and you will find one of the deepest fighting game packages to be had for the price. If you know how to work a team’s move set and supports you can KO your opponent’s squad in like 3 well-executed combinations. If you like Street Fighter or have played any of the other crossover " ___ Vs. ___" titles that Capcom has released, you’ll love this game
This game is ridiculously awesome! It is very fast paced and if you are a Street Fighter fan, you will definitely enjoy this. I have only had a few hours of playing but I can already see that strategy is needed when picking fighters and their attacking style. It may seem like a mindless button mashing game at first but you have to appreciate the strategy needed in executing attacks. This is a very fun game, even for newcomers. I highly recommend. Enjoy!
Fun game. Since Dr strange came out and Iron Fist is coming out soon on Netflix. Its fun to play as my favorite marvel and capcom characters. Its a rare game because you can’t get DLC for this anymore because Marvel and Capcom are no longer best friends, aaand you cant purchase a digital copy of this either… Gameplay-wise the boss is a pain in the ass. Versus is fun. Has all the basic things i look for in a good fighting game and then some.

I’m a big Marvel fan, and thought this game would be awesome to play. As a thirty-something who was weaned on SF-II, Mortal Kombat, etc., I of course new that the fighting games had started to get more and more complicated with multiple combos, bringing in 2nd and third tag-team fighters, etc. But GEEZ, are the controls on this complicated! The game comes with NO instruction booklet, though I’m sure I could track one down on-line. The graphics and characters are excellent, though.

I’ve been a Marvel fan pretty much all of my life and I really enjoy Marvel themed games. I know many of the Capcom characters from other games I’ve played. I like mixing up the match ups and I love that this version has a story line. It has outstanding graphics and fight effects. I’m still new to this series of games and I had trouble with the controls but I’ve recently purchased a fight stick and that’s making it so much easier.

The kids loved it and the game features several characters that weren’t on the previous "non" Ultimate edition so make sure you get this version of the game. The characters look amazing and the controls are as sweet and smooth as any previous Capcom Street Fighter game.More of the same really. But if you liked it before you’ll like it now.

I was skeptical of buying this one because I remember the good old days of Marvel vs Capcom 1 and all its greatness, And I wasnt sure if this would come anywhere close. Lets be honest, seems most great games that come out with a sequel or prequel usually they are not as good, or just plain suck and ruin the game robbing it of its former glory. That is what I was expecting from this game, The first was such a classic. However it turns out that this game is very well made and very fun to play. It definitely still holds the Marvel vs Capcom 1 overall type vibe just more contemporrary. It looks great, controls are great, Characters are cool but i think they could of done better on them, especially the Capcom side. but no big deal, still cool, and Zero makes up for it. This is one of my favorite games for my xbox 360, has a great arcade feel reminiscent of childhood. I glad I picked this one up!!! it kool

This game is amazing! The new characters,stages,and gameplay tweaks are well worth the price.To be honest it feels like a brand new game. It actually is starting to have that mvc2 feel to it again,but with a more up to date improvements such as graphics and gameplay mechanisms. Like any capcom fighter you have to put the time in to get good,so don’t expect to just be lights out right away. If they bring back more mvc 2 veterans and add some new fighters,this may be one of the best fighters ever.
