I don’t have a Playstation or any other game console; I just bought a PSP to kill time on coast-to-coast flights. I had heard about Katamari from others who said it was great so I decided to give it a shot.Well, the good news is that it is a very original idea. Take a sticky ball and roll it over successfully bigger things and reach the desired size before time runs out. Pretty simple concept, but it works. The game world is beyond bizarre. The King of All Cosmos alone seems like pretty solid evidence that the guys who designed this game were on heavy drugs (special power: “the royal puff”, anyone?) but you’re of course the much smaller prince who has to gather all these balls of stuff for the various animals that want sweet, hot, cold, beautiful etc. items in their respective balls. As I said, it is very original and quite captivating. The experience fizzles a little when you realize there’s only a handful of different levels being recycled. The controls are enough to drive anyone batty, especially when you get stuck behind some too-big item and you can’t see because the stoopid camera decides its time to move in behind some OTHER object. Finally, I did find a bit disturbing that the prince’s dad, King of All Cosmos, routinely beats the snot out of the prince whenever you fail to reach the right size. I dunno, it just feels quite misplaced in an otherwise lighthearted game aimed partially at kids.

seriously, i almost didnt purchase this game because of the bad retrolio reviews. They all say the controls are terrible but they are almost identical to the ps2’s. The only difference is that instead of having a right analog stick you use the shape buttons and instead of a left analog stick you use the directional buttons. The graphics are the best i have ever seen on a psp game, and this game is just as fun as we love katamari. The only difference i see is the story and setup. Instead of making planets you make islands. It is seriouly more fun than liberty city stories, god of war, and patapon combined. Oh and the price thing.

This is the game that I return to most for the PSP (granted, I don’t play PSP games, or other games for that matter, that often). It’s quirky, the music is fun, and it just doesn’t seem to get old (the challenges geared toward specific items help in that regard). All around just a good game.

this game is a really simple idea turned in an amazing game. although u are going probably to have some difficults with the camera angle in the beggining the game involve in a way that u get used to this problem bringing a lot of fun hours with it. really recommend!

The Controls Take Some Getting Use To Especially If You Have The Console Versions But Once You Get That Out Of The Way It’s Just As Fantastic As You’d Expect A Katamari Game To Be.

agradable servicio, el producto en buen estado , y el servicio de paqueteria extraordinario, seguire realizando mas compras, pero solo si me siguen ofreciendo este servicio de paqueteria y no el otro (DHL)

This is a very entertaining game. The idea is still fresh, and there is a great sense of accomplishment when you finally get to a point where you roll up entire buildings, ships, and even islands. Especially rolling up things that used to be too large just a few minutes ago is very satisfying.I would easily give this a 5-star rating if it wasn’t for the controls. After a while, you figure them out and it kinda makes sense (think of your katamari as a tank or bob-cat with independently operated wheels on each side, rather than a ball), but it is just silly. Why not make the steering more intuitive?!? Even once you figure it out, you still keep wondering what they were thinking…

I’m an avid Katamari fan. This game was a lot of fun, and very reminiscent of the first two games, but the controls are God awful, and tend to glitch a lot. They cycle through the same three stages over and over again. I don’t mind that the music is the same as the first two games. The difficulty level on some stages is out of control. This game was fun, but it could be better. In the end, it was more stressful than relaxing.

El juego tiene la misma linea que todos los Katamari, lo que me encanta es que es portable, el precio fue de lo más barato, no duden en comprarlo si ya has jugado Katamari anteriormente o incluso si quieres entrarle a este tipo de juegos :)
