The controls are a little hard to get used but it’s still a great game. I really recommend this to any katamari fan.

seriously, i almost didnt purchase this game because of the bad retrolio reviews. They all say the controls are terrible but they are almost identical to the ps2’s. The only difference is that instead of having a right analog stick you use the shape buttons and instead of a left analog stick you use the directional buttons. The graphics are the best i have ever seen on a psp game, and this game is just as fun as we love katamari. The only difference i see is the story and setup. Instead of making planets you make islands. It is seriouly more fun than liberty city stories, god of war, and patapon combined. Oh and the price thing.

With fruity characters and fun levels, Me & My Katamari has definitely been worth the price. Katamari literally means a lump or cluster… and that’s what the game is about! Rolling around through various scenes, picking up items and building up mass is the name of the game. Honestly, it was quite surprising how fun it is.The drawbacks I’ve encountered are as follows:-Iffy controls… They take an eternity to get used to, but don’t take too much out of the game.-Difficult Levels… If you’re easily frustrated, you may want to look at a few gameplay videos before making the purchase.-Load Times… Just a bit boring, but, again, they don’t take too much out of the game.

This is tremendous fun, and especially nice now that the price has dropped to under $20! I paid $35.Anyway, the control is a little harder than on PS2, but it really isn’t bad, just different. All the charm, presents, music and cousins are here!

I’ve been a fan of Katamari games since the first one came out in 2004. They are the embodiment of beauty in simplicity. The concept and gameplay are simple and easy, and yet they are engaging for any level of gamer. Me and My Katamari continues this tradition but has the added bonus that it’s offered for a hand-held. Being that it’s so simple, I feel like Katamari and PSP are a match made in heaven. I keep my PSP in my purse and when I’m waiting in line for something or have a bit of downtime, I pick it up and play. You can play it for 30 seconds or for several hours. One thing to note though: the controls are a bit awkward, especially if, like me, you’re used to playing this game on PS2. It took me a while to get used to them. That’s a minor complaint, however, and so far this is the best game that I’ve bought for my PSP.

This is a great game and at $16 on the Playstation Network Store, it is definitely worth a try. I tried a Katamari demo on the PS2, but didn’t like it enough to buy it, but after spending some time with the PSP version, I am really into this game. The controls are not bad, I think most of the negative reviews are from people who were used to playing Katamari with dual analog controls and are having a hard time with digital controls with the PSP buttons. I think part of the control issues are with the fact that your character is trying to roll a lopsided object around and over different terrain and objects, which is part of the game’s novelty. It should be easy to get used to if you are a decent gamer. If you suck at video games or have very little patience though, then you may not get past the unique controls and probably get frustrated. There are occassional camera issues too, but not enough to take away from the huge amount of fun to be found in this game. The levels are challenging, which is a good thing, because you’ll be excited the first time you beat a level after a few fun attempts (mostly to learn where the different sized objects are), then you can go back to beat your high scores, get your cousins (alternate characters), and gifts (accessories for your character). Now, the good points are: great, smooth, colorful graphics; short load times; a weird soundtrack; several levels with changing time of day and seasons; lots of replay value; solid controls (after a.
