Metroid Prime 3 is the best first person shooter I have ever played, like all the other Metroids it is an action game, a puzzle, a shooter, an RPG, an adventure, and a sci-fi game. It has all of the greatest generes put all together into one game. As you probably already know, you use the wii-remote to aim your arm cannon. You also can do pretty much everything else as the previous Metroid Primes, a variety of visors, including scan, you have missles, power bombs, a variety of different beams, and you can go into morph ball form. Some added abilities is the grappling hook, you may have had this in the other Metroid Primes, but now you can use your nunchuck to shoot it out and pull it back in. Not only can you swing from it but you can all ripp enemies’ shields away. Some other added content to this game is something called Hyper Mode, it is similiar to Spider-Man3 for the Wii, it will cost you one energy tank to enter by holding down the + button, it makes you become more powerful and invincible. But if you enter it for too long you will fall into Corrupt Hypermode, at which a red meter will start to rise, and if it fills all the way out, Samus will become corrupted and the game ends, so you should exit Hypermode before it is too late. There are so many other awesome things, including the return of Dark Samus!I normally buy all my games online so that I can get them cheaper, but I could not stop myself from rushing to Target and buy this game the day it came out. This certainl.

Product was in on time and the CD still works! As soon as I play the game I’ll rate the actual game itself. (editing this review in the process.)

Fans of metroid or just first person shooters in general wont be let down by this title. The Wii controls are smooth and easy to pick up, and the gameplay is very fun. The visuals are impressive, probably the best looking Wii game to date. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 star rating was because I found some of the spots that you had to be in the ball form a bit annoying, but its not all that often and dosen’t take much away from the gameplay. If you own a Wii, do yourself a favor and pick this up.

This game is fantastic. Not only is creative and unique, but it is very challenging and really utilizes the Wii controls. The plants you visit are wonderful, the graphics are spectacular and the puzzles are very thoughtful. I thought I would be done with this game very quickly when I first read about it, but it has provided hours of entertainment and I am only 20% of the way through. One of the best features is that the game is not linear. You really have to understand the story and remember where you have been and what clues were given to make it through (don’t worry, there are plenty of online walkthroughs if you get stuck).

Right now, this is probably one of the top 5 “must haves” for the Wii. FPS-type games used to be frustrating and clunky on consoles, but now that the Wii has arrived, it opens up a whole new level of control that’s often as good as, and sometimes better than a simple keyboard and mouse combo like you would find on a computer. The controls in Metroid Prime 3 are great, though not quite as fluid and exact as those found in Resident Evil 4 (another definite “must have” for the Wii), but that’s not a fault necessarily as the controls are designed around a different set of objectives than you’d find in RE4. I’d say that it should take around 10 to 20 minutes to get familiar with the controls and maybe a total of an hour’s play time to get totally proficient. That’s not a particularly steep learning curve, and those more familiar with FPS games on the PC will likely cut those times down significantly. The graphics and settings are done particularly well; though some might complain that the PS3 or the Xbox 360 games all look better, I haven’t really come across any that actually PLAY better or are more entertaining, but to each their own I suppose. Each location is distinct from the others and the soundtrack helps to build the overall feel of each world. The story is well paced, though not quite perfect as it does get a little lame or cheesy sometimes. This does not detract from the overall feel of the game however, most people will be too busy searching for suit upgrades, engaging in.

It was everything I thought it would be & more very good condition and very well done.

Well, it seems there are no lack of rave reviews for this game as it should be: this game earns every last nice word. The graphics and art design especially are wonderful(i don’t know what the crack smoker saying they looked like N64 was thinking), the sound design and music are great(i found myself humming along with the tunes after only 20 minutes), and the level design, as always, is impeccable. The new controls are the real shining light here though. Any review you read saying you will always see other FPS controls as second rate after this are true and i am not an old hand at FPS by any means(i can’t stand the overrated Halo series). However as a longtime Metroid player i do have some gripes with a near flawless game experience. For starters the default difficulty is Wind Waker easy(start on Veteran unless you’ve never played video games before). The voice acting is very well done but the heavy rotation of the cliche ‘Space Marines’ had me gritting my teeth at times like the game designers were trying to match this up to Halo. I almost felt like i was playing Fusion at times because Aurora keeps butting in to tell me where to go…uhh, excuse me, i though i turned the hints off. I’ve always loved that the Metroid series Doesn’t hold your hand like 95% of modern games do. There is not as much isolation as before but it is still definitely more adventure than action. i knew Retro wouldn’t completely blow it. The boss battles are things of strategic beauty(espec.
