IGN’s Michael Thomsen did a better job than I ever could in “Citizen Prime: Is Metroid Prime Our Citizen Kane?” ()Suffice it to say, Metroid Prime managed to combine FPS excitement with puzzles and exploration in a way that has been, unfortunately, ignored by the rest of the industry.

Simply put, the game arrived ahead of schedule, came out of the box in utterly flawless disc condition, and the packaging itself was perfect aside from the outer transparent sleeve having the price tag partially removed… nothing a little residue-remover and some elbow grease couldn’t fix, and that was the only problem in the entire exchange. ANYONE looking to buy a collector’s edition should look here first, and that’s no exaggeration.

I have been playing the metroid games since the very first one. Metroid for NES. When Metroid came out then it was far beyond games of the time. Here was a game where it was completely open ended, no direction, and left you for yourself to figure out what to do. A very good game. When Super Metroid came out I lost touch with reality, it was that addicting. (when your 7). I think that game actually might have game me goosebumps at the time when I entered into deep Norfair. To me, that was the best game of the series. As graphics improved and the ability to render 3D graphics emerged, games were being “converted”. When I first heard that the new Metroid for gamecube was going to be a first person and 3D I Immediately said this is going to suck. I’m die hard for the 2D scroller. God was I wrong. Retro Studios took this game and made it fantastic. I think one of the most important things that they did was not to take the adventure, open ended parts out of the game. They kept it true to the original series. If they had made it just a FPS I would have hated it. I can tell that the developers at Retro Studios were all Metroid fans because of the quality of that game. I thought that Echos was still a great game, but more of the same old formula with new tricks. Metroid Corruption just blew me away. The controls just felt superb, accurate and responsive. After playing Corruption I thought this is how they last 2 should have played. Well here you go, All 3 games, redo.

Great bundle. The new control scheme works well for the previous titles. Definitely worth checking out and a must have for Metroid fans.

Christmas gift for my son. He requested it, and even though it was a used game, there was nothing wrong with it and he loves it. Very quick shipping.

This is possibly one of the best purchases I’ve ever made

When I got this game, I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of content this game has to offer! I have to say the best Metroid Prime game is Metroid Prime, but get me wrong, I loved all of them, my least favorite is Echoes, but its still an amazing game, by any standards, and should be played. I don’t understand how people said Echoes was hard, it wasn’t that hard. Metroid Prime 3 was the easiest of them all, but not too easy, to were you feel like your hand is beign held, like a lot of games do. Overall this game is a must buy. All of the Metroid Prime games have an amazing art design, amazing graphics, amazing atmosphere, amazing gameplay, amazing music, amazing story, and amazing boss battles, but unfortunately, this game is really hard to come by. And Wii Remote, and Nunchuck hold amazing gameplay mechanics. This is a must buy for Metroid fans!

My two sons still like playing this hit several years after we picked it up. It competes with several XBOX titles for their attention.
