I was hoping this game was going to blow me away like Dragon’s Crown. The game is still good but I felt it relied to much on square and gets kinda repetitive. You also have to backtrack a lot which is a mixed feeling since the set pieces are kinda nice. It’s not a bad game but I think it’s over praised.

Got it on sale for 20$! Beautiful game where the colors really pop out. This game is great playing on the go, as you can just pick up where you left off.

I won’t call this a review so much as an opinion, but I love this game. Developed originally for the Nintendo Wii, this remake truly makes itself shine on the Vita’s OLED screen. Bright and vibrant 2D animated graphics are the name of the game and the animation is genuinely top notch. There is some backtracking in the game which reviews online frequently complain about. Being a longtime fan of JRPGs, this concept is not new to me so it doesn’t detract from the game in any way. Online reviews also complain about the repetitive combat, again not an issue for me. If you want a game that is both beautiful and fun to play, give this a shot.

As an RPG its pretty good but what really engaces you is the breathtaking graphics. At times clearing a stages to next boss battle can get repetitive but I thing the complexity of chosing your sword makeing skill tree along with different effects makes up for this one flaw (this reminded me of Final Fantasy XII). Choose wisely your skill tree and plan ahead because the right sword can really make a big difference when fighting the bosses. Overall nicely done…I was really debating a long time to buy a PS Vita and I am glad I did (Sony really got a lot of things right in terms of hardware decisions over the PSP).

I was looking for a new game to play when i came across this title. i was a bit hesitant because i am not really a fan of this type of game genre but i gave it a chance and pre ordered it anyways.Got the Amitabha Edition because of the extra stuffs that came with it.The lithograph interests me most. i had it framed and displayed in my room. (i was really expecting it was framed though. but oh well, it’s still a cool piece). The Face cover has some miss cut on the edges but still cool all in all. The skin is nice too but i hope there is a wallpaper to go with it (or it was just me) and the of course the pouch is really soft but i am not using it.About the game:Okay the game controls are easy to master. X is for jump, square for slash, etcs. The visuals are crisps and beautiful. Even enemies are nice to look at. I find some dialogues and scenarios really amusing. The BGM is also good to the ear. Despite the repetitiveness (I mean, you travel the same map, see the same backgrounds most of the time, fight the same monsters/enemies) i don’t find them boring or annoying. I actually felt more nostalgic than that. I kind of miss these kind of games. For those who love to experience something old school 2d/ linear gaming (or whatever its called) will really find this enjoyable. It’s a nice change from the usual games of this age which I sometimes don’t find too enjoyable. (okay, this is a personal opinion so others might find it boring to run back and forth the same area and hearing t.

Game is fun and perfect for handheld gaming. It can be a little redundant at times, as there is a LOT of walking back and forth through the stages. However, the beautiful graphics (and I do mean beautiful), along with the soundtrack make it less painful. Action is great, boss battles are the key highlight, and it’s great in small spurts and offers plenty of replayability. The extras are great. The hardcase is probably my favorite of any design, and is very durable. The velvet bag, while cool, I probably won’t be toting around very often. The lithograph is very cool, and definitely a nice piece for any fan of the series. And finally, the Vita skin, features some of the game’s beautiful artwork. Great for anyone looking to pimp out their Vita.Is the game worth purchasing? Yes.Is the special edition, and all of its extras worth the extra cash? Yes.
