Nice game!

I had played the original version of this for the Wii, but only briefly. My only complaint then was the controls. This is probably my only complain considering I didn’t play very far.I absolutely love the characters in this game. They aren’t very relatable, but they are fun and unique. The controls were very nice compared to the Wii version. The dialogue is very well written in this version, I’ve heard and seen some of the original dialogue and it was very dry. Aksys did a wonderful job cleaning it up.I started with Momohime’s story and the difficulty was just fine. Though, I did completely forget that swords even had special attacks until I played the tutorial again in Kisuke’s story. Boy, did I feel stupid, and a little bit achieved. There are 6 different endings to this game and though not all of them were what I was expecting or happy, they felt well written and were enjoyable to watch. Now I just wish I could beat Fury mode. Chaos was hard enough. The bonus goodies were really nice. I just wish they included the full soundtrack rather than a sample track. It’s a bit of a bummer. The lithograph was certainly my favorite part; the art displayed is truly amazing. I’ll be saving the vita shell for when my P4G one goes bad (If at all).At $40 this game is a steal. The special edition is certainly worth getting if you’re a fan of Vanillaware or their games, others may not see the price justifiable.

Originally an over looked title for the Wii, now a good reason to get a Vita. Muramasa Rebirth is one of the more underrated unknown titles i have played. The game play is fast and exciting, and the "powers" your swords have are all pretty fun to use. Graphically this game is beautiful, the 2D art style is very well done here and I love just how fresh it looks. Another thing I enjoyed was the soundtrack, the boss battles to be more specific, the music is fast pace, epic, and really knows how to get one in the right mindset for fighting some supernatural badass boss. Anyway, in short if you have a VIta get this game, you won’t regret it.I got the Amitabha Edition when this game came out, and I don’t regret it. This edition includes a velvet pouch, hard shell cover, print and enevlope, and a mini CD soundtrack. All packaged in a nice little box, pretty good deal if you ask me.

The game is beautiful and the collector items are greatly appreciated. Everything came nicely bundled inside the CE box with no folder edges or busted components. This is a great game on its own but the collector edition was a welcome step up.

Just a note, this edition includes a small soundtrack (4 songs) with it as well that may not be the best but just an added bonus if you are still on the edge. This is one of the best collector’s edition to can get for your Vita if you are looking for a starter set as it includes a screen protector (yes, it is a screen protector and not just a border outliner) as well as a case. To be honest, the case is not that useful but the screen protector itself is very nice and should already make up for 3 dollars worth of the collector’s edition. Another strange part of this collector’s edition is that the lithograph cover is not so grand is actually quite cumbersome but the letter it is held within is quite pretty to look at and provides a nice backdrop for the lithograph. The bag that the game comes with also keeps up this trend of refined goods as it is a nice velvet that feels good to touch and quite thick which will hopefully keep your Vita safe. The game itself is relatively short but quite addicting (took me around 10 hours to beat the game’s 2 stories) but the real fun comes from experimenting the 108 different swords that you can collect and finding the one that fits you best. If you know Japanese culture and appreciate good art, this game will be right up your alley otherwise I would not recommend this game to you. The voice acting is well done (Japanese) and the main characters are very different and provide you a reason to play them. This game has its ups and downs as some of.

Fun game. Beautiful backgrounds and music. Time waster. One of those games you can play without thinking. Just run in and be a super cool ninja and wreck enemies.
