Nintendo New 3DS Xl – Features
Experience the first console to successfully integrate 3D into gaming without making it seem like a small gimmick. The 3DS takes everything great about the DS. It heavily builds onto them for a fantastic gaming experience. It is one of the most successful consoles that is used and loved to this day. With the 3DS XL, Nintendo packs a more robust processor, more RAM, an analog C-stick, and two additional triggers for an enhanced gaming experience. The XL also features an even larger screen than its predecessor, at an impressive 4.88 inches.
Amazing 3d Capabilities
One of the most prominent features of the console is its ability to display stereoscopic 3D effects. That, too, without using 3D glasses or additional accessories powered by the Nintendo Network. Augmented reality using its 3D cameras and Virtual Console allows you to download and play games originally released on older video game systems.
Powerful Processor
The main central processing unit is a dual-core ARM11 MPCore-based processor, which is clocked at 266 MHz. One processor core is dedicated to games and applications, while the other is exclusive to the operating system, enabling multitasking and background tasks. These tasks are handled seamlessly in the background during gameplay or while the system is in sleep mode. The system also contains a single-core ARM9-based processor, enabling backward compatibility with both Nintendo DS and DSi titles.
Outstanding Particularities
The console features two cameras capable of taking 3D photos and videos, a built-in microphone, and a lithium-ion battery with longevity between 3 and 8 hours, depending on the games you are playing. Also, you have two generous screens, the bottom being a resistive touchscreen. The system also includes 2 GB of flash memory. It can be expanded by another 2 GB through an SD card.
Nintendo 3ds Xl Console – Games
Even though it features backward compatibility with older Nintendo DS video games, the console has an impressive library. It has over 1300 fun titles to play all day!
Mario Kart 7
With almost 19 million copies sold, Mario Kart 7 is the number 1 best-selling Nintendo 3DS game. As with previous games in the Mario Kart series, players participate in racing on various Mario-themed tracks, playing as one of seventeen different Mario characters. While racing, the players use power-up items to assist their character or hinder opposing characters. New additions to the game include hang-gliding attachments for karts and the ability to drive underwater. Also, you can drive in the first person, and you have the ability to customize the vehicles’ builds fully.
Super Smash Bros 3ds
Like the rest of the Super Smash Bros. series, this is a non-traditional fighting game where players use different attacks to weaken their opponents and knock them out of an arena. The games are crossover titles that feature characters, items, music, and stages from various Nintendo franchises and several third-party franchises.
Pokemon X
Along with Pokemon Y, this is the second best-selling Nintendo 3DS game. It follows the journey of a young Pokémon trainer and friends as they train Pokémon. This time, the game takes place in the Kalos region. Which is based in France—with the objective being to thwart the schemes of the nefarious criminal organization Team Flare. X and Y introduced 72 new Pokémon species, including new features such as the new Fairy type, character customization, updated battle and training mechanics, and more.
Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time
The player controls Link in the fantasy land of Hyrule on a quest to stop the evil king Ganondorf by traveling through time and navigating dungeons and an overworld. It has features such as a target-lock system and context-sensitive buttons that have since become common in 3D adventure games. The player must learn to play numerous songs on an ocarina to progress.
Luigi’s Mansion
Take control of Luigi, equipped with the Poltergust 5000, a ghost-eating vacuum cleaner, and embark on a quest to appease the spirits of Evershade Valley and save Mario from King Boo by gathering the shards of the shattered Dark Moon. You’ll have to explore five themed mansions and solve fun puzzles to gather all the missing shards. You can also play with your friends, working together to clear each level of a haunted tower.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
One of the most relaxing games on the 2DS, Animal Crossing, has you take the role of a villager mistaken as a mayor of a town inhabited by many friendly and quirky characters. As you explore and develop the town, you can collect, buy and sell items to decorate your home and the world around you, adding several new activities to this game. As the game is open-ended, you will stay playing it for hours.

The camera doesn’t work. The 3DS crashes when opening the camera app. I wouldn’t mind this, but the camera is used for stabilizing the 3D image. Either way, very disappointing. Anyway, i asked from support team they respond me quickly let’s see what’s next for me.
While a wonderful system, despite the fact that beyonds the backwards compatibility to play all DS and 3DS games, there’s less than 1 year left to capitalize on anything left in the eShop, you really need to look out for swindlers ready to drop you a Singapore /Malaysia intended version instead of UTSC, PAL, or your respective region. In fact, the former is ILLEGAL to sell here by default, not that sellers give a rat’s hairy, fat bum, but whatever. Just watch out. I didn’t find out mine was until today, so now I have an ethical obligation to shame and crush JFJ–after all, they record serials–so this crap doesn’t happen to other people, I can’t 1st party repair now cuz they’ll replace it and any digital 3DS goes shwish like the wind. Don’t ever buy anything JFJ.Still, there’s plenty good DL both DSiWare and digital 3DS and virtual console to nab if you’ve got the time and assets. Heck, it’s a lot cheaper than physical copy in many cases: Mega Man GameBoy, Donkey Kong Land, Super Mario Land, Sonic Game Gear, Etrian Odyssey esp.Just gotta be sure to have a big enough MicroSD to hold it all. The only truly frustrating thing is being limited to running what little DSi can be stored in the internal memory. Yes, you can backup scores of stuff on SD so you won’t have to re-download, thank goodness, otherwise there would be some great misses like Dillon’s Western (maybe I’ll add more later, I haven’t played many). Still, it feels absurdly unnecessary, barring a mod or else, which can seriously mess up certain programs or you simply just might not want to trouble.
Bought this brand new for my son in October 2015. In January 2016 (3 months later) it stopped recognizing the game cartridges. I contacted Amazon to see if it was under their warranty but they gave me a non working e-mail address to Nintendo. I had to contact Nintendo by telephone who said it should be under their 12 months (supposedly awesome) warranty. I shipped it to Nintendo and a few days later got an e-mail that the problem was not their fault, that the connecting pins were bent and broken. My son takes excellent care of his handhelds and has 2 previous models that haven’t had issues. Now I can either pay Nintendo another $85 (about half what the system cost) to fix it or get it back broken. How can it not be a manufacturer’s defect if after only 3 months the insides could break so easily? I would think long and hard before upgrading to this inferior system. I feel scammed and duped into paying for something that should not have broken in the first placeUpdate, Once again the new Nintendo 3DS did not work. The system got what my son calls “the black screen of death” It was still under Nintendo warrant and I sent it back and again I was told it wasn’t a manufacturer’s defect. I call Bull! They are saying he spilled something on it and he NEVER EVER did. If he did I would admit to it but he didn’t. It will cost 100.00 to fix. When you can buy a new one for $170 it was hard to decide. We debated on buying a new system or the 2DS but my son decided he wants it back so I am now paying a ridiculous price for a repair. Don’t let Nintendo deceive you with their claim of having the best warranty in the business because as far as I know they have never repaired anyone’s system for free under the warranty. The kids love the system and the games but be prepared that within a few months, no fault of your own it will break.
I’m really loving my new 3DS XL. Only thing I didn’t like, was I still wanted to keep my regular 3DS with the same account information.. Nintendo only allows you to register 1 3DS, so that now makes my 3DS useless.**UPDATED** 08/22/15 – I’m going to do a small update since I finally got to use this the way I had intended to. First, I have had the DSi and the 3DS, and never had any problems logging into a hotel’s wifi. The hotel requires you to open a browser and just agree to the terms. Simple on the DSi and 3DS. Create a new connection, wait for the test to fail, open browser window and agree to terms. BAM… online. The “New Nintendo 3DS XL” is different. I tried for hours to do the same thing and NOTHING. It will not connect like the others did. What is the point of having a handheld “mobile” gaming machine if it can not connect to a hotel’s wifi? My PS Vita is the same way. I thought for sure that I would have no problems with the NEW 3DS because, the other 2 DS’s I owned never had a problem and it’s why I bought it. I could also get those 2 connected even though my PS Vita would not, so the DSi and the 3DS became my mobile gaming machine. The New 3DS XL, ruins that now. I have tried everything, even google.. and nothing. So be WARNED if you plan on using this as a mobile gaming device and you stay at hotels a lot.
