Overlord is very different compared to any game out there. As matter of fact only Pikmin compares to it. Let’s go in deeper shall we?It puts a spin on a classic. Tired of being the white knight? The policeman? The tortured hero? Well here is a game for you! Let’s be an evil overlord! This game comes complete with four different types of demons: Fire, Magick, Brutes, and Stealths! (Not real names but it’s easier for you to get the jist) Your own castle that needs to be customized! An evil forge for your personal use! An arena to enjoy fights over and over again! An evil mistress for you to enjoy! Oh an don’t forget your own personal mistress to help you rule as you see fit.The online mode is also enjoyable as it can be co-op or vs.The gameplay is third person and you do battle with various foes with magickal spells, melee, or sending your minions after your victims.Various puzzles are throughout the game as well, nothing complicated but there are some.I’d say purchase it! You’ll enjoy!

I heard a lot of bad things about this game because I think that everyone is anticipating “Two Worlds” so they were negative about this games release. Anyways, I thought that it was so much fun. It’s a very unique style of game play where you don’t actually have to do a majority of the work. You just send your minions out to terrorize the town. I played it for about a week before I got bored, but I think I almost beat it. Even though it got boring to me, I still think it’s a really sweet game and it was worth the money. I’ll probably start to play it again after a few weeks so it will be fresher to me. I think the reason it got boring is that the upgrades are really limited and the gameplay gets really repetitive. And, a lot of times you have to use a particular type of minion to beat a level, but they’re not avaliable on that level, so you have to go back to a previous level and kill enemies until you get enough minions built up. It’s really annoying and repetitive. I constantly found myself shortchanged with my minions and they weren’t avaliable enough throughout the game. Still really fun though, so I recommend at least renting it.FYI: There’s three types of armor you can get get throughout the game; there isn’t that much game play in between the upgrades, so I’d recommend just saving your minions for the final armor upgrades. If you use them to upgrade the other armor/weapons, they’re lost forever and you’ll find yourself short on minions later on in the game.

It’s a pretty fun game. I enjoy the uniqueness of it all. I’ve never really played a game like it before.

It’s a game I used to play when I was younger. I very much enjoyed it. It’s a great game to get.

I bought it for my son, who had rented it several times. He enjoys it quite a bit. I don’t buy very many games for him because he finishes them pretty quick most of the time. Rentals are the way to go most of the time. He enjoys it more than most. That speaks well of it for the most part. Online play is underwhelming, but works ok.

First copy I was sent didn’t work so the shop sent another one for free! The game itself is frivolous and entertaining.

Sure, you can play it lots of different ways, but the challenge comes it when you try to lose the least amount of minions. Picking your set of minions is the hardest part of the strategy. There’s a few blips in the controls and mechanics, but this game is really fun, easy to jump in and just the right amount of difficulty. The story is a little silly, but still funny and engaging. It’s weird to be the bad guy and the good guy at the same time.

Very Good Game, the history is really cool, they needed to ad some minors things, but is a good Game

The Good: Funny dialog, great voice work, using Minions is interesting and fun, nice graphical styleThe Bad: Little player involvement, lack of arrow or map makes you get lost easily, way too linear, not enough Minion racesOverlord’s main feature is letting you be evil. You can control the direction of the game by being evil or erm…REALLY evil. Your main focus are your Minions which you use to fight baddies, move objects in your way, or get them. You have four races which are Browns (your main fighting Minions), Reds (long distance Minions that are immune to fire), Blues (which are weak but can revive downed Minions and can take down magical creatures and are immune to water), and Greens (they can ambush large enemies and rip them apart). When you acquire all the Minion gives you can summon them via holes throughout the game. You’re main goal is to go from world to world helping the people so you can find parts from your destroyed tower. You can save damsels in distress to have as your mistresses and receive items like smelters for armor and weapon upgrades, blue, red, and yellow objects to increase mana, health, and maximum Minions. You are able to sweep your Minions to specific places with your right analog stick to solve puzzle and what not. All these features are fine and dandy but with the lack of a map or arrow you get lost ALL the time. Without a FAQ you’ll have no idea what to do most of the time. You yourself can attack foes but you just mash the A button and it’s t.
