I originally owned this on vinyl, then on cassette, then on CD, and now in MP3 format. My oldest son ended up with the LP, the cassette was eaten by a tape deck, and the CD became scratched over time. This is a MUST-HAVE for any TRUE Iron Maiden fan, so needless to say, when retrolio started offering MP3’s for purchase, this was a no-brainer for me. Powerslave embodies the essence that is Iron Maiden. I believe that since this is my fourth time to purchase this album, the quality of Powerslave should speak for itself.

Classic maiden. Just awesome songs and guitar. Rock on brother
Clayton Litton –
I have been a fan of Iron Maiden since Piece of Mind and then I got their earlier stuff with Paul Dianno. This album is their crowning achievement as far as I am concerned.
Abel Ojeda –
Great Album. We listen to this while playing one on one fighting video games and it really gets you in the mood for action.
Kathy Schulte –
Great CD
Driftfoot –
Great album…the boys pretty well at their best…I find the Peace of Mind album their best though…seen them live on the Slavery tour and was a great high energy gig…not many bands can rock better, definatly not these days…Up The Irons…
Successor Warrior –
"Rime of the Ancient Mariner" alone is a good enough reason to buy this album! But there is no song on this album that sucks! If there’s anything negative to say about this album, it’s that the song "Aces High" doesn’t have "Churchill’s Speech" as the song’s intro, like it does on the "Live After Death" version.

What more can one say. Love this album from the 80’s

I am not an audiophile and not so picky about sound that I have to use equipment to measure and compare decibel ratings in order to enjoy the music I like.I first listened to this album on cassette for years. I wanted this album on new vinyl, I did not think or care about if there was any compromise in sound on a picture disc. This is actually the first picture disc I ever bought and when I first looked at it and could hardly see the grooves, I wondered if it was even playable. Possibly even too smooth and attractive to play? Display only?I played the picture disc for the first time and the quality of the sound was great to my not so snobbish ears. I don’t hear any unwanted noise, snaps, crackles or pops. There was not one skip throughout the whole album. I have bought new black vinyl records that actually sounded worse. In comparision to the cassette tape I listened to over and over back in the 80s, this picture disc sounds awesome and once again will enjoy what I consider the best album by the the great Iron Maiden.

If this one had more short uptempo tracks like "Two Minutes To Midnight" and "Ace High" this would probably have sold a bit more, but this is good "Art" metal. "Rime Of The Ancient Marriner" is definitely one of the best metal tracks ever, but some people might get bored that the tracks so long, and it has a lot of quiet parts in it, but if you like progressive sort of stuff, you should have no problems with it. I cut my teeth on PIECE OF MIND, and this one isn’t of that quality (you might think the opposite), but this is still one of their better releases in their illustrious career. If you’re the type of person that has to have forceful pounding music with no quiet parts, you might not dig this, and you might want to look elsewhere, but if you’re cool, you’ll probably want to pick this one up. UP THE IRONS!!!
