This review will make more sense to you if you have read my review of the SNES… I know this review may catch some heat also, but I don’t care! I would say this is the 3rd greatest system ever made, 3rd only to the SNES first, and then the NES in 2nd place. To understand why you will have to read my SNES review… What made this generation of gaming so unique is that when you had a game like castelvania on SNES and Genesis, they were different games!! Not the same exact game for every system! Also, the only way to get Sonic was on Sega systems. This is a hard item to review b/c if you are looking at buying one I’d have to assume you know all about it… I believe it came out in 1989… and actually for that time and Era, it was hands down the best system out there for it’s time for sure!!

A great console, through and through! However, if you can, find someone that is selling a "High Definition Graphics" version. This is the original model that has the best quality sound. Watch out for the "stinker" models.

Great system from my childhood. Too bad the rf switch that came with it was broke, but after I bought av cables it eventually worked (Nothing would appear on the tv at first, but i firmly placed the cartridge in the system and then it worked)

I chose this rating because Everything was working PerfectOne Thing I Didn’t like is that the Power AC cord was said to be included, and it probably was, but there was a hole in the package and that is probably where it fell out of. One more thing that was negative is that the package Was packed with No Bubble rap. So the console was probably banging around in the package. Over All It works Perfectly

I remember back in 1999 I wanted a game console so bad, so my parents went to a goodwill and bought me one for 10$ with 8 games, 1 of them was sonic 3!the controllers may be huge with huge buttons, but its gives a great grip even with the 6 button pad (recommended)Durability 10/10 this console wont die! I threw it across the room and slammed it down on the caprted floor and still palys! ive only seen 1 broken genesis only because the contacts corrodedgraphics 8/10, back in 1988 when it was released, it was the best looking console until the SNES, with a headphone jack, and easy to use controls, easy to program for, it had several 100 gamesgame library 10/10 with up to 930 games to choose & collect, you cant go wrong, RPGs, shooters, adventure games, SONIC series, even a prett good FPS called zero tolerance, it is a beast.sound, 6/10 early games on it sounded kinda 8 bit and ugly, but put in right hands, like konami, it rivals the SNES!and theres even a CD and 32 bit attachment for it, now thats devoted to the system!
