I have a lot of play consoles around the house, but over the years you loose a power cord here and a video audio there and sometimes the controllers, but after testing the console my old games came out of hiding and the kids really enjoyed the sonic the hedgehog 2.The adapter,AV and RCA cables works on the system,I give a 4 stars rating for all.Thank you

Now I have two SEGA Megadrives or Genesis in the North America. Each one is the first generation rather than the later models or at least one is and they both work fine. This gamesystem is not known for screwing up which is more than can be said for modern game consoles *cough*360*cough*. But Then again these are not bought purely because I would like to feedback on the product itself instead of what service I got. Now this is after the SEGA Master System and incorporates some of the franchises that SEGA has become known for and is the first 16 Bit console. There are memorable games, Sonic the Hedgehog’s games not included. This and the Dreamcast tie for the most sucessful SEGA consoles. Even the controller can be doubled for those older game consoles like Atari 2600 or an Adams Computer. It’s fun, it’s classic it’s a classic system to get.

I might just be 18, but the only game system that has ever made me truley happy is the Sega Genesis. I remember playing all the good classics when i was very little at my uncles house, and as I grew older, those same games were the best i have ever played. Please, if your a parent, give your child the gift of the perfect game console. On another note, just because you bought the game system from a bad shop, it doesn’t mean that this console is bad. complain to the shop, the the overall console review.

I got the Sega System when it first came out in 1991? $149.95 I remember my Mom got it for me for Christmas,I remember showing her in the Toys R Us/Lionel Playworld Paper? I don’t remember? Probably TRU.(back then lionel). and It was really cool, the only sucky part was it getting stuck sometimes and having to blow in the games. And of course that was the same for other systems. I always Prefer Sega to Nintendo. Ah the good ole’ days. I don’t have it anymore but I have My Saturn.

the sega genesis..ah this takes me back..it was christmas 1989 when i was first introdeced to this system i remember it made my christmas that year..i had a atari 7800 at the time as well as a nes and master system( which i still have in great condition and still use to this day) but there was something special about the sega genesis that was top notch..the graphics were and still are excellent..the titles are great..i love the shinobi series, as well as the arcade classics..there are too many to count … this was the best system that sega has put on the market, sure the others(master system, dreamcast. and the awesome saturn) were great in their own right and have great titles etc..the genesis was the only system that sega had made that lasted for so many years through the expansion units such as the power base converter, the 32x set up and my favorite the rare sega cd(the version that you put the original model gebesis on top of) In this day of playstation 2(soon to be playstation 3) the x box, xbox 360, and others the sega genesis has stood the test of time and is highly sought after by collectors..why you might ask? because the games were done, fun, and still hold up well today. the original model with the volume control and headphone jack is the one to get..the original and still the best:) i have my same one since 1989 and its still going strong in 2006 this is what you get when you create a well built, highly entertaining system..the people still come back.

The system is fast, has solid graphics, sounds great, and the play control is spot on. Is the system the most advanced? No it’s not. 64 colors did the job and the FM synthesis is like of Pro Audio Spectrum for the PC back in the day. Great expand ability too.
