During this game you start out as a gladiator. During fights you sever arms and legs, decapitate heads…these can be used as weapons. Awesome game.

  2. Hari Seldon

really good game, takes liberties with time period but overall very fun

This is an awesome game. Everything from the graphics to the gameplay is well structured around the storyline. What was really exciting about this game was that you get to play two different characters simultaneously. (It’ll switch between the two characters automatically) One character relies on brute strength while the other uses stealth to solve puzzles and missions. Because of the two character gameplay you will never get bored of this game. I was also surprised by the fluidity and movement of the game’s characters. Just a great game to play and enjoy.

This is a very good game but to expensive for a old school game.If you like the hack and slash type of game I would go with Conan. It is lower in price than this one and also just as good.

I pulled an all nighter playing this game. The graphics were great and I enjoyed the battle scenes. Its the average bad guy wants to conquer Rome, bad guy murders Ceasar, a Innocent man is blamed for it, and a annoying blond guy is searching for the answer. You play two roles, Agrippa and octavious. Agrippa, who becomes a gladiator to find his dad, and Octavious who is searching for the answer to ceasars death. The weapons are temporary and you have to pursuade guards before they kill you. As you progress through the game, at some point things will get annoying but that could be remedied by having octavious slip on a banana peel…or get stung by bees.In short, it is a fun game and if you have the patience you can beat it.If you enjoy challenges and pulling an all nighter playing a game, this would be the one.

Hey, Just like to brief you Roman Empire fanatics about Shadow of Rome. The game play is really smooth and clear. The graphics are sweet and very textured. Dudes you can see the strands of hair in the wolves. Played it for 5 hours straight and not one glitch. The characters are a little bit buff up “exaggerated”; however, still present great texture and movement throughout the screen.I thought the double character feature would confuse the story line, but on the contrary it’s very clear with in depth details. It’s a cool feature to have. One second your brutally cutting limbs off…5 minutes later your in stealth mode…next thing you know, your in a chariot race. The diverse game play gives you aspects of many genres of videogames. (GTA, Resident Evil, Metal Gear). It’s true Rome wasn’t built in a day, and if you enjoy playing a game that will last you a long time, you’ll also see that Shadow of Rome can’t be won in a day. You are getting your $$ worth with this game.Folks, be prepared to join S.R.A. (Shadow of Rome Anonymous) because this game is addictive.Great Game,Highly Recommended…Great Job Capcom!!!

Fight the gladiator games to win your revenge in the Roman era and uncover the plot of Julius Caesar’s murder. In a storyline akin to the movie Gladiator you play Agrippa, a centurion in the Roman army who is betrayed by the Senate and must fight through gladiator matches to bring justice to his family, and the assassinated Caesar of Rome.Play Octavianus as a spy seeking the truths of the Senate as he sneaks his way to uncovering the biggest plot of the Roman era. The sneaky and mischievous Octavianus explores the high places of Rome and furnishes his home with accessories and Romanesque get-ups, including playthings like little dogs and banana peels. Yes, banana peels play a big part in tripping up enemies and can lead to quite creative feats of stealth, distraction and thievery. This stealthy approach expands the options of how to complete the level and steers Shadow of Rome away from a simple Action/Adventure genre. In fact, the linear switching between Agrippa, fierce gladiator, and meek Octavianus becomes predictable and some might say easy. However, this variety is a welcome change and adds depth by constantly advancing the plot.Enraged and heavily built centurion Agrippa must fight in an assortment of cool Colosseum gladiatorial battles. Such variety and visceral styles of gory demise are sure winners amongst hack-and-slash players, but the Octavianus levels will drive off players not content to sneak around and hide in pots and dark places, collecting coins. The graphi.
