A solid game, just very tricky to complete some levels…overall it’s decent

This was one of the first games I got for the PS2 when it was new, and it has to be one of the most fun experiences to be had. Not only are the physics fun, if not entirely accurate, the levels are very creatively laid out and a lot of fun to just play with! A friend and I would spend hours “Rock Climbing” by finding ways to get ‘outside’ the normal playable parts of the level and scaling walls and chasms we were never meant to see! I just got this game again (through retrolio.com of course) and can’t wait to introduce the ‘alternative’ play to all my friends.

The games graphics are truly amazing! There are no glitches in it what so ever. The game has non stop action, and you don’t stop for nothing. :-) You can drive as far as the eye can see, and when I say that, I mean it. If you look way off in the distance and see a hill, you are able to drive up it! Theres miles of terrain to drive on. The enviorments are: Dessert, Forest, and Winter Theres all kinds of vehicles too like SUV’s to Dune Buggy’s. If you want ONE driving game, this is it. I’d also would strongly recomend Midnight Club Street Racing for the Playstation2.

Think "Driver" meets "Vigilante 8" and you’ve got a pretty good idea of how this game works. The excitememnt and high speed chases of (a wilderness) "Driver" and the crash em’ up "what’s physics got to do with it" of "V-8". This is a really impressive piece of work; here’s why:SIZE. . . The maps are MASSIVE. . . They seem to go on forever, and for the first half hour of play I thought that they wrapped around like in the old Atari days. . . Nope, they’re just really flippin’ huge! It could litterally take you 10 minutes to get from one side to the other. Want to climb a mountain? You can, and then you can look around at things that will actually take time to get to. . .DETAIL. . . Everywhere you look, theres just lots of, well, STUFF. You hit a stream and it goes on and on and on. . . You hit the highway and it stretches out for miles. . . You hit a pedestrian and, well, I don’t want to spoil everything.PRICE. . . I’ve paid almost this much for PS1 games in the past that have still only been played for 15 minutes. This is one of those that, even if you don’t play the mission mode, you will continue to pull out every few days and just allow yourself to be impressed by a video game. Why 4 stars and not 5? It’s not perfect. The physics is a little conservative for me. Mind you, I’m not complaining. I’d have given up looooong ago if I actually died every time I deserved to in this game. Also, I don’t like the fact that j.

Smuggler’s Run gives a whole new idea to modern day gameplay, missions are fun and challenging, and freeride mode is infinite, you can pick a area and drive for ten minutes in one direction and just come to the end of the map. This game is definitly a RockStar game and I can not stop renting it from the video store. Five Stars!!

If you like being chased after by 6 cops who are faster than you, and are will do anything in their means possible to stop you, including ruin their cars, this is the game for you. In single player mode there are enough missions to keep you playing a whole long time. I myself am only on mission 12 and I have been playing for one day. it starts off easy but once you reach the double digit missions it gets a whole lot harder. As for multiplayer mode, it is really sweet. My favorite thing to do is to just free ride around with my friends and explore the levels( snow, desert, forest) which are very extensive. I’d hafta say climbing mountians in this game is really fun. Anyways, if you like car games, and if you like being chased by the cops and having a deadline on your time to deliver the goods, this is definetly a game you would like.

This is only the 2nd PS2 game I have played so far so i dont have that much to compare it to. I think the game is fun , it has a great concept. If you could imagine a football game played with vechicles instead of people, then you would have the idea. The 1 player mode gets stale after a while, but it is an excellent 2 player game. I think this game is a cross between Driver and road rash with a touch of need for speed. Unlike other driving games you can pretty much throw away the rule book on this one.

I rented this game with the expectation that it would be terrible, having only 3 levels, i found it to be quite the contrary. While yes, there are only 3 levels, those 3 levels are, simply put, massive. It feels like they never end, and you’re never in the same place twice. I liked watching pieces of the cars fall off as i jumped off cliffs, and the realistic flying action of people when you crash into them. Don’t waste money renting it, go buy it.

wow. lots of fun. pros:pretty original concept.*great control over the cars.*best party game, ever.*enormous levels. they seem to go on forever.*realistic everything. environment, car dynamics, etc…*very high replay value.*cool car sounds! hahacons:*lackluster graphics. not too great, but not bad at all. youstop noticing they [are bad] an hour after you start it.*no cops in the joy ride mode.*repetitive missions… sorta just doing the same things overlong distances, but with different themes. don’t get me wrong, they’re all fun.all in all, it’s a really fun game, and if you’ve got a ps2it’s definetly one for the library.

This is a great game. The only problem is my Playstation. I’ve bought a few copies of this game. The orginal got scratched up. The others never worked in my Playstation. So i think it’s just my Playstation. I work recomend this game. I am not saying it won’t work. My system is just messed up. I love this game though.
