All gamers want out of a video game these days is graphics and half naked women. But if they would look at the days before graphics was made part of the rating system for whether a video game was good or not, they’d see the good days. The days when mega man didn’t have to be remade in 3-d just to make it on a ps2. The days when if you’re game was fun, that’s what it boiled down to. If you’re game had graphics, that’s even better, but what you looked at in the days of SNES was the fun factor. Yep. This is the greatest gaming hardware ever made. It’s got some of the greatest games in history(Mega Man X-X3, Super Mario RPG, Starfox, and Super Mario World), it’s got a great life span(I’ve had it since ’95 and I’ve never stopped using it), and the 16 bit graphics give it the nostalgic feeling that says “You want something you can play in 3 dimensions?! Kiss my @$$!!!” Yep…SNES. Good stuff. Find some way to get your hands on this thing, it’s easily the greatest console ever made.

This item was bought for a Christmas gift. Since it hasn’t been opened yet, I can only say that the delivery was on time and I did not have any trouble. However, the case was a little more scratched than I thought it would be, but if the console works, then that is fine.

I bought this console because all the games they’re making for newer consoles like XBOX and PS3 are just too quick paced and confusing for me. I grew up with an SNES and Gameboy so thought I’d give it a shot again. It was so much fun rediscovering classic games like Super Mario World and Contra. My fiance and I can spend hours a night playing. We love it! And the games are challenging but not impossible and frustrating. It’s so much fun!

The system worked, came with offical controller but the av cable and power supply were 3rd party but still good. the reason this gets 4 stars and not 5 is becuase the system came in yellow when it said in the description "No yellowing". I would rather have them say "could be yellow" than lying.

A friend and myself were talking about games and systems the other day when I happened to bring up old nintendo systems-He mentioned that he had an old SNES system and a bunch of games that were sitting in his closet, so we negotiated a price-We agreed at $20. This was my first nintendo system. I also have a psone, Dreamcast, Genesis, and recently bought an N64 not too long after the SNES. MAYBE down the line, I may get a gamecube. I set up the SNES, and played Super Mario World, and I was hooked. Sure, the graphics are antiquated, but who cares? that’s what makes these old classics so lovable and great. I also have Wolverine, NBA Jam, and many others. I went to a flea market this weekend, and happend to come across Space invaders, and also bought Wolfenstein 3d a very hard to find classic. I am also looking for Metriod and Mega Man, but they also seem to be hard to find. Anyway, I am so glad I was able to score a snes, because soon, they will become rare as well..
