Holding this controller took me back to the old days of checking to make sure we’re on channel 3 and making sure the volume is all the way down so I don’t wake anyone up. It’s great to know that I can have a controller so close to the original for my emulators.

I was hoping to find a simple, affordable, and as close to the original deal SNES usb controller for playing SNES & GBA emulators with, and after setting it up real quick in the emulator controller settings it works exactly as I’d hoped. I’ve put about 14 hours or so of use on it so far and haven’t run into any issue.

Awesome, just awesome. Exact look and feel from what I remember of the original SNES controller.

Late birthday present for me, but it was well worth the wait during this COVID19 pandemic. Well done to the delivery driver who stuck by the rules, packaging was well done, box was perfect and installation was rad! Literally a ‘plug and play’ item, especially using it on the Nintendo switch and a PC SNES emulator. If you are a retro gaming, this is defiantly the controller for you! 5/5!

This is, quite simply, an excellent, perfectly functioning USB controller styled almost exactly like the SFC controller! It tested great in OpenEmu on MacOS with no noticeable input latency. Everything feels and plays just like it should with a very quality build. For the price, it’s hard not to recommend this controller!

EDIT: I have received word from the retroflag by email with instructions on how to make the controller compatible with macOS. You must download the xinput driver manually to make it work. This correspondence has changed my review to five starsBought this controller to play SNES games on my Mac with an emulator. After unboxing, controller seemed very well make and had nice buttons. Unfortunately, this happiness did not last long. The controller was completely unregistered on my Mac. Not only did my emulator not acknowledge that it was plugged in, my computer did not know AT ALL. After emailing the company about the mistake on their retrolio listing AND website, I never heard a response back. A week since my email, I am returning the controller. I gave two stars, because, although the product page lies, it seems like a perfectly fine product.

The feel of this controller is very much like the original Nintendo version. I had no problems plugging into my RetroPie box. It was detected right away.

You’d be hard pressed to tell ANY difference between this and the genuine article if it wasn’t for the silk screened logo. For the price you absolutely can’t do any better.

It has the right color scheme, it has the right button feel, it has the right weight, it doesn’t feel cheaply constructed and just feels solid when you hold it. Even looking at this thing from a distance, unless you are trying to notice it, it looks just like an SNES controller. The button lag is almost non-existent if it is even there at all. I cannot recommend this controller enough, there is no better wired controller you can get for your Raspberry Pi/PC gaming rig. I have two and am going to be picking up the Super Famicom version as well. Do yourself a favor and get one, you will not regret it!
