I had the G4me Zer0’s before but the headset broke by accident and i regret having lost them since.So i ordered the GSP 600’s from sennheiser because friends gave me a recommendation on it as they had the adjustable top headband to change the pressure points around the head but no matter what settings i had it onit constantly gave me headaches and heavy pressure on the ears even though the ears fit well around the pads.I can honestly say when after using the Gsp 600’s for like an hour you would easily get head fatigued and lots of pain but the microphone is as good as the G4me Zer0’s just more heavier and not comfortable not at all.I gave up on the Gsp 600’s and bought another set of the good old G4me Zer0’s and man you can wear it for a month without even knowing you got the headset on because it’s so light and super comfortable i will probably never take another recommendation from a friend again and just go with my own gutSennheiser’s G4me Zer0’s are the best gaming headsets you can get and i hope they won’t ever stop producing them also it doesn’t hurt having the GSX 1200 Pro DAC along the way for that ultra audiophile experience.
I have owned a few pairs of headphones over the years, then i saw these on sale one day, i was due for an upgrade and decided to give these a try after reading many reviews. all i can say is amazing.. gaming and music have literally come to life, outside noise is reduced to almost nothing. even on loud volume the sound is as pure as can be, no distortion, humming, buzzing.maybe someday i can afford some of the higher end headphones to see how they compare to these amazing ones.
Many of the criticisms against this headset are either outdated about the 150 ohm version or over things such as music quality that were not the design intention behind the headset. It was not intended to be a great headset for music or movies. It’s true that the sound quality is rather flat, the bass is lacking, the highs are tinny, but I don’t care about any of that because that is not the reason I bought this headset.This headset was created with the sole intention of accurately presenting the positions of sound, and it exceeds at it amazingly. For competitive action/fps gamers that rely on these sort of inputs to make split second judgments this performance metric is the only one that matters. I’ve been gaming competitively in Quake and Counter-Strike for 15 years now, and I have yet to hear a headset that is this accurate. For example in counter-strike, If I am retaking B bombsite on Dust2 as a CT I can tell instantly if a reload sound I am hearing is coming from closet behind the car, or the B tunnels. I can tell whether a guy is on the back of the site platform or slightly closer to me in the site by the stacked boxes. I could give you tons of examples but the point is that I am never left guessing at exactly where a sound is coming from. I always know the exact position instantly. I have previously used the hd555s and hd558s for more than a decade, and they are great headsets, but they are a peg below the game zero when it comes to positional accuracy..
Great headset, extremely comfortable and great sound quality for the speakers and microphone. Just make sure you have something to power this beast of a headset, an amplifier. Sennheiser’s website says these headphones are 50 ohms impedance, but other websites say they are up to 150 ohms. I have mine set on 150 ohms and they work great, I also have an Asus Xonar DG soundcard as the amplifier to power this headset.
I am very impressed with everything about this product so far. It took some tuning, but the sound quality is amazing and the 7.1 is everything I had hoped. Very good head feel and the ear cups are big enough to cover even my dumbo ears.
These have a great sound quality. Very clear. This headset is noise cancelling, so you won’t have to worry about outside sounds distracting you from your game. Definitely recommend.
Paired with a Sound Blaster Zx and some software tweaking and some time burning in the cans and these things Really bring out some great sound. Music and games sound so much better when compared to my last headset, which was a Creative Sound Blaster Fatality, which the left can had started to get issues, so getting these when I did was a good step up.Took about 2 weeks to really burn these in using *Pink Noise* off of youtube, playing for 10 hours a day while at work.The Mic is Awesome! and the noise cancelation is insane! no1 in TS can hear my case fans on my Corsair Air 540, an there at full RPM lolz.All in all this is a Great Headset, and there pretty durable so far, dropped them once from the top of the case and they took no damage so there build quality is very good.Only Gripe is that they packaged my headset in a Fraking cordboard like bag, Are you Kidding me~! a $280+ headset and you put them in a damn bag ? My package came pretty beatup but thankfully Sennheiser Knows how to Package there hardware so the headset was fine.But my Advice to the shop, Put these or anything in that case thats over say $100 in a BOX with peanuts etc etc, cause buying this headset and then seeing that the packaging was pretty messed up, pissed me off, and I wouldn’t be the only one that feels that way if the same happened to someone else

I am a medical interpreter and I always buy Sennheiser headsets. They never disappoint me. This model is actually part of my previous company’s equipment for each VRI/Video medical interpreter. After I quit I decide to buy one for myself for my freelance work since I already had a great experience from my previous job. It is light and clear and I think customers are happy with my sound quality too.
After reading reviews it was time to pull the trigger, very very glad I did!! This headset is probably the most comfortable headset I’ve used. Long gaming sessions do not hurt the ears whatsoever. If you are between these and the ONE series, the only thing to consider is whether or not you want to be able to hear whats going on outside your gaming session, as the noise canceling is so good that I have to remove one of the ear pieces to hear haha. The mic works beautifully, without catching background noise which is also nice. So far, I have ZERO complaints about this set-up!!

The headphones are fantastic, and I’m glad I did buy them because the ones I had previously weren’t the best (hyper x). So far I’ve had for over a month and don’t have much to complain about them. The only thing that I have problems with is sound leaking from my desktop onto my mic. I don’t know how to explain it really. And it’s not the speakers either. It might just be a windows thing, but nonetheless the mic quality is the best and the sounds as well. Would recommend to those that don’t want to get a studio mic and just want something to wear and still feel comfortable. Because these don’t weigh much so you never feel them there.

The reason this isn’t 5 stars across the bored is because if you turn them up too loud people in party chat can hear their own voices echo. That is quite literally the only drawback. Best gaming headphones you can buy that are not amplified. I use these with my PS4, plugging them into the controller with an adapter cable. The volume is not screaming loud, but it’s definitely loud enough for game play and chatting with other players. The thing I like about these over the PlayStation Gold wireless is the ear cuffs. On both headphones the ear cuffs are very comfortable (soft leather feel), but on the Sennheisers, the ear cuffs are deeper. So after wearing them for a while, they still feel comfortable, while the PlaysStation Gold ones start to touch your ears. This gets annoying and starts to hurt after a while wearing them,

Its not bad. The mic quality is immaculate. You will NOT find a better mic quality for the price. The outgoing audio is immaculate.However, there are a couple minor draw backs. I was using this for gaming which its decent for. I found the part that was tough was that you cannot adjust the actual microphone to go closer to your mouth. While i like the style of it being static, this feature makes it hard for people to hear you. I ended up having to boost my microphone in my recording settings because I couldnt put the mic closer to my face. Such an simple thing is SUCH a bummer…. it wasnt easy to get people to hear me.Also, for music, this should NOT be your primary headset. I got this because i have a really nice pair of studio monitor headphones for listening to music. These have terrible audio for most tunes. its very Midrange heavy.All in all, for gaming this is a pretty good mic and I gave it 4 stars because the audio quality in the games is pretty good, the mic is really clear, its really comfortable and its simple, which I like.

Works great! The sound quality and bass of these headphones are very clear. The noise cancelling is solid, and the mic quality is amazing. It was a major selling point for me. I can’t stress how good it is. It doesn’t pick up background noise too much, so it gives for crisp sound when you speak with people. Whenever I game, my friends are always blown away by how clear my microphone is, they say I sound like a radio host since the quality is so good. The overall comfort is pretty solid for the ears, but if I wear the headset for too long it feels like the top portion is putting pressure against my head. It also fits well if you put it around your neck since the ears rotate a bit, but it feels a bit constricting so I wouldn’t recommend it. Other than that, great headset!

This is a excellent headset. Sound card is not required but the headset performs much better when you have one. I use this headset with an integrated sound blaster sound card to have emulated surround.. and it’s on par or better than some 7.1 headsets I have tried. The microphone is excellent and at this price this is the best headset you can get.

Just as the headline says, these are excellent at gaming but sound horrific for music. Use these for gaming and buy some HD 58X’s for music.
