Spider Man 2

Spider Man 2 is a 2004 video game based on the movie of the same name. Published by Activision, the console versions were developed by Treyarch, while the others had different developers and are drastically different as a result. However, the game is the sequel to Spider-Man itself based on the movie of the same name. The Treyarch-developed versions are considered a landmark title in the industry for being the first superhero video game to incorporate a full open world design.

All versions of the game closely follow the film’s plot, but expand upon it by including scenes and characters not appear in the movie. Set two years after the events of Spider Man 2, the game finds Peter Parker struggling to manage both his personal life and his duties as Spider-Man. When scientist and Peter’s mentor, Dr. Otto Octavius, becomes the diabolical villain Doctor Octopus after an accident, Spider-Man must stop him from recreating a dangerous fusion power experiment.

The game was release on June 28, 2004 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, Game Boy Advance and GameCube, follow by N-Gage and Nintendo DS versions, both release later in the same year.

…I can’t even get past Rhino! Otherwise, I love this game. One of, if not the best, movie tie-ins ever made for PS2.The camera moves well, and there’s a ton to see and do. You really can go through all of Manhattan. Climbing the Empire State Building was particularly cool.Spidey moves well, the controls are intuitive, the graphics are good, as are the sound effects. To be honest, I was having so much fun just taking out the small-time crooks, that I was actually disappointed when it came time to fight Rhino, because I knew then that the story was really kicking in. Now I have to hunker down and figure out just what Spidey’s really capable of!This game is fantastic, and I recommend it for gamers of all ages.

The best movie-related game ever made. The Arkham series decades before it existed.

5 STARS.I think that they did a good with the spider-man sequal.Everything is upgraded except for the graphics. The only characters that look good are Spider-man,peter,and all the bosses.Everyone else is butt ugly.I started to laugh when I saw Mary janes face. The town’s people need plastic surgery. But lets get down to the good things. The new swinging system is absoulutely wonderful. The swinging is better then all spider-man games ever created. You can do tricks after jumping off your web.And what I really thought was cool was jumping off of the highest building which was really high and right before I hit the ground I started swinging again.Um…I…um…messed up a few times. And for the first time in spider-man history you can rome the streets(not including those old 2-d games). There are endless missions from the towns people but the only thing that I don’t like about it is that there isn’t a big variety. There are vouluntary missions which consist of 7 different missions. The missions are robbery, helping police fight, medical emergency, carjacking, ambush, sinking ship, dangling people, and robot attacks(which I hate). And then there are Petty crimes(pop up out of nowhere. The missions are purse snatching, lost balloon, road rage,mugging,break-ins,and gang wars.I think that they could have thought of more. There are also pizza missions, photo missions, and Mary jane missions. The boss battles are really fun.Rhino is a bit to easy but is still fun to fight.Mysterio was a waste of time. The fir.

Bought this for my boyfriend as a spontaneous gift. It was the last thing he wanted for the playstation 2 and he could never find it. When I ordered it, I worried about the quality, but I am so glad I made this purchase. Not only for the incredible smile my boyfriend gave me, or how the tears built in his eyes, but the game itself and its condition was phenomenal. I never expected to have the game be in such a good condition, but I received it better off than most of my own games.I very much recommend using this company for ordering, but I also think the game is very well put together. If you like spider man, you should definitely have this game.It does get a little repetitive during missions and such, but it’s fun overall.

I got to play on the demo for this game last year at the San Deigo Comic Con and it’s truly amazing. The swinging is more complicated and takes more time to get used to (and more attention) but once you get the hang of it, is a much more realistic experience. As incredible as the first game was, this is several orders of magnitude better!

  7. Enigma20XX

This game almost fixes all the shortcomings of the one that came before it. Namely, the newfound sense of freedom you get from finally being able to touch the ground. A virtually living city is yours to zip around with the greatest of ease, thanks to the new web swing mechanics that have been included. (normal winging is the only way to go. Easy Swinging may be simpler, but you’re depriving yourselves.) And in a nod to the great GTA series, open-ended gameplay! Various "hot spots" pop up in the city. Certain ones serving to advance the game, while others serve as side quests (read: time wasters) that net you Hero Points that can be used to buy new combos and abilities. And while they’re not TOO varied (you’ll see all of them after a while, then the name of the game is repetition, but remember: you need the Hero Points), when you get the hang of them, you may actually begin to enjoy just seeking them out to earn all the special "awards" in your stats section. And of course, there’s the whole "you ARE Spider-Man" vibe when swinging that will probably have you constantly coming back for more. With some challenging bosses and a couple of REALLY ANNOYING ones, there’s a good ammount of challenge to be had here. Graphics wise, the major characters in the game are rendered well, and easily recognized, although the stand in voice acting leaves a little to be desired. Spider-Man himself is obviously the most animated character in the game, edging out Doc.

This game is incredible because not only does it use GTA mechanics to get around new york, not only do you get to swing ON BUILDINGS and NOT in THIN AIR *coughprevious-spidermangamescough*, not only do you get to run on the streets and rooftops whenever you please, not only can you do more super human moves like cooler, simpler combos *coughspidermanthemoviecough*, not only can you collect ENDLESS tokens scattered across new york, not only can you help citizens from saving guys on a seenking boat to thugs holding up an armored car robbery, Not only that this is the most free roaming spiderman game ever made with this time mostly outdoor environment taking place in the story *coughprevious-spidermangamescough*, but now you get to take on a never ending adventure with your host which is of coarse your friendly neighborhood spiderman! Here are my pros. and cons. below.PROS.*Better, more controlable swinging*Ability to run faster, climb faster, and swing faster*protect new york from thugs on roofs, muggers stealing womens purses, people falling off buildings, and more*Boss fights are fun, yet most easy*buy upgrades by earning hero points* find secret tokens all over new york and challenge races in secret spots as well*the story never gets old*do wickedly awsome combos when in slow motion fighting enemies!*Dive off the empire state building and commit suicide!*UNLIMITED CONTINOUS*for the first time…UNLIMITED WEBBING!*throw crooks in the water or off buildings*no repetitive one-.
