The history of Star Trek games has been a long, convoluted, and remarkably inconsistent one. Some games have been HORRIBLE, most have been remarkably average, but a few have been exceptionally well made. This game is the best “first person” Trek experience ever made, and “Klingon Academy” is the best starship combat simulation ever made. Both are utterly immersive, tremendous fun, and draw you into a story-telling experience. To be fair, I was never a fan of Voyager… it’s my least-favorite Trek series. But this game doesn’t suffer, in any way, for that, as far as I’m concerned. The game is set late in Voyager’s run… seemingly in the last two seasons, though I’m not certain EXACTLY when. Voyager’s command staff decides that they need a specialized team to deal with “extreme situations” (instead of sending the command crew in to get kidnapped every time). This is an extra duty for these crewmembers, and some of the new Hazard Team are characters previously seen on the show, while others are entirely new. The only character from the show you really interact with on a regular basis is Tuvok, since the Hazard Team reports to him. You’ll occasionally deal with other characters as well, but for the most part, you’re on missions with the rest of the Hazard Team and will be on your own.The setup is pretty basic… the Voyager is trapped in an region of space that saps power from all ships, for “harvesting” (of both technology and biology). There are other survivors of this tr.

Star Trek Voyager Elite Force is quite fun. I have enjoyed it thoroughly. The only thing negative is that the “used” product did not come with a CD key which means I cannot play it online. However, given the age of the game, it is likely that no one plays it online anyway. The single player is a lot of fun and it was well worth buying.

Cannot say enough good things about this. Don’t know why I am writing a review when so many great reviews have been written. It really IS like being in an episode of the series. There are unexpected twists and turns also. They even managed to maintain the political correctness of Star Trek whilst allowing you to blow the hudaka out of enemies. The weapons are great, I don’t know what the editorial was talking about saying the weapons were boring, the weapons are GREAT – variety, utility. The online game experience is VERY GOOD. Possibly better than Unreal Tournament, and that is saying a lot. Very tactical, great items and teamplay and using your brain for a change. You can download heaps of extra maps and thigns too for FREE.Note you can play in the HoloDeck by yourself as well, to practice. If you are a fan of Star Trek get it.If you hate Star Trek, absolutely HATE Star Trek, but like 1st person shooters, get it anyway – you will like it is very, very good.Just get it, it is winning awards all over the place because it is truly classy. This is the future of entertainment, where you are actually inside the movie.

…but also and amazing FPS game on its own! I have played through the demo dozens of times, and if the rest of the game is even just half as good as the demo is (and from what I’ve seen it looks to be even better than what was in the demo) then you will not dissapointed! This is also one of the most beautiful games available. It makes incredible use of the Quake 3 Arena graphics engine. Believe me, at 2048x1536x32 with all options on full, this is the best looking game I have ever seen, and it looks great at the lower resolutions too! The gameplay is simply amazing, making use of interactive scripted sequences, with multiple outcomes depending on what you do! The use of your teammates where they are availible is very well done, with them doing there job without any direction from you – No more having to try get them to just the right spot so that they will do what is needed. I rank this game up with Half-Life for how good it is, and it is probably the best FPS released since Half-Life. If you are still not convinced, download the demo – it is about 100mb, but it is worth it, trust me (though it is a tad short).

The graphics are immence, the best I’ve ever seen, the levels look amazingly real and the explosions and weapons fire is first rate. The ambiant sound is very realistic to and the voice acting is great (Sevens voice is’nt Jeri Ryans but you can get A patch). The game is as close as you will ever come to being on Voyager, its not like most games where the missions come one after the other you actualy get to walk around Voyager and talk to people. The guns are great each one hase two firing modes so attacks are never boring and some of them are actualy on star trek. The gameplay is great to, very high quality the controls are very easy to use you can even use the mouse for exact targeting. You can’t order around your teamates but they take queues from your actions. The multiplayer part of the game is very good to, tons of maps to play in and three game modes (free-for-all, team play, and capture the flag). This is one of the best games I have ever played and for sure the best first-person-shooter, I highly recomend it.

It is like you are om the star ship Voyager actually talking with every one. You like what Seven Of Nine says, "You seem to have developed an unhealthy obession with me." thats jut one of thousands.

Amazing game, even for one that is ages old.

I really like this game a lot. Although I haven’t noticed very many jerks. Its slow at times, but it really lags after the level first loads. After that though, I havent seen many jerks at all and I have a P3 450. One thing that I don’t like is that it takes FOREVER to load a level, and there’s no progress bar, and the levels are short, so you have to load levels a lot. Another thing is that the AI is really bad. They don’t even see you, so once there was something behind me, and my buddies didn’t se me and they KILLED ME! Grr. It is nice to have the extra firepower, though. One more thing, It’s way to easy. Now, to the good stuff. It has a very good plot. I also like how if you make one mistake, it changes the course of the whole game. The model re-makes are pretty good. However they made a Major goof in sickbay. The console is WAY out of place. But other then that the game is really good. Also, the multiplayer is really good. they did a great job thinking of power-ups. Including jet-packs.I highly recommend you get this game. But be careful, it’s addicting.
Happy Customer –
I am exited for this game because it has the Quake III Arena ingine under the hood. Let me remind you the Quake III engine is a work of art. Soo smooth and pretty. The network code isnt like Counter-Strike’s but that is because it is a all out fastpaced and graphic filled wonder. OK soo what about that. The game play will be great in this Trek of all Treks. The framrates will be smooth and action will be intense. The sound will emerse you with full sourround sound. It will be interesting seeing how they pull off the enviroments. The Q3A engine hasent been tested like the Unreal engine has for large, expansive areas.I recamend this because i truly believe any Star Treker with a good system will enjoy playing as a character in their show. =Þ

Yes, this is the game that has it all: graphics, sound, multiplayer, length, innovation, fun, and, it’s TREK! Yes, this IS a Star Trek game, and unlike many Trek games, you WON’T be dissapointed with this amazing game! After you finish the 40 levels of single player, multiplayer will leave plenty more. Wait, what am I doing? I gotta go play it…now.
