As a former special educator, and a mom who wants to teach her kids empathy, I love this book. It explains many of the symptoms of Down syndrome, but frames them as super powers instead of challenges. A sweet and supportive way to help kids understand the diagnosis.

Great for my classroom!

I love this book! The illustrations are so beautiful and I love how the narrator is the girl with Down’s Syndrome. It’s very informative and interesting as well as entertaining. I used to teach Special Education and I love this book!

Such a wonderful book for all kids to read – whether they have down syndrome, or know someone who has it, or have yet to meet someone. This explains all the differences and similarities and does so with great suggestions for how to help and be a good friend. Share it with your kids and let the conversations open. Really beautiful.

Great quality! This is a great book with useful information and I will read it to my kids a lot as they grow. I wanted something to read to my children’s class-pre-K, 1st, or 2nd grade and unfortunately this would be too long/too much information in my opinion but we will still read it at home!

Love challenges being presented as superpowers!

As a mom of a kiddo with Down syndrome, I loved seeing the illustrations of beautiful Hannah! The author delivers the facts about Down syndrome in an easy to understand way. Every year on World Down Syndrome Day, my older kids (7 and 10) share something about their sister with kids in the school class. I can’t wait to have them share this book!

I LOVE this book!!!! The illustrations are beautiful, there are helpful hints on every page, the message is amazing and there are affirmations and art at the end. Just amazing!

As a speech-language pathologist, I adore the message of this book as it explains the beauty of a child with Down syndrome and how for us to relate to the various aspects of their daily lives. The positive message that the author shares as she delves into helpful hints for those of us who are friends with those with these particular superpowers is so vital. I also loved the aspect of the author’s real-life friend,Hannah, being her inspiration behind this special book!

I love how this book makes down syndrome so positive for kids. I bought it for my daughters 2nd grade classroom. I plan on ordering more, one for our home.
