Not a bad a game, I was just expecting it to be more like American Wasteland. Plays well for being used.
When I bought this game I was hoping for more of the old Tony Hawk experience, but it was much more difficult. I stopped playing the game in about two weeks because I was stuck, and it was hard to get farther in the game. Every once in a while I will throw the game back in, however, and it is fun.

I definitely think this game was worth it, especially if you have enjoyed any of the previous tony hawk games. The last TH game I played before this was THUG, I skipped THUG2 and THAW but this one was worth the wait. It took me about 15 hours to beat the game (get to number 8 in the world) and I feel it would take about at LEAST 15 more hours to get to number 1 (I’m guessing a lot longer). I have to warn you: some of the sick challenges truly are insanely difficult. It’s possible to get to number 8 in the world without doing too many sick goals, but to get to number 4 and then number 1, it’s going to take a rather high percentage of sick goals.The nail the trick mode is interesting but it’s just such a huge risk, I barely ever find myself adding them into my combos.The reviews don’t lie when they say there are some performance issues: the framerate can stutter during certain parts, especially when the physics go wonky and you go flying through the air. The graphics look fine, but certainly not as good as some other games on the 360.They added ragdoll physics into this game, but they are absolutely laughable – sometimes in a good way, sometimes not. I got quite a bit of enjoyment just trying to break as many bones in my body; in fact some of the goals are based on doing just that.They bill this game as being realistic, but. No. It’s not. It’s fun, but it’s not realistic.One of my biggest complaints about the game is that the create a player has been stripped down to.
Skate before skate was cool.
I used to play the demo for this game endlessly so years later I finally have it. It’s a good game, brings back a lot of memories.
Compared to some of the eariler Tony Hawk games this game is just ok. I really like the THPS series and the T.H.U.G. series better. At $24.99 it was a good buy.
this is overall my favorite tony hawk game. although 2 more are coming out soon, i don’t think they will be so good. they should stop for a breather every couple of years, jeez! bad call on activision’s part. this game, which is so much better then american wasteland, is better suitable for children and is physically unbelievable. buy buy buy!!! :-)
it is a great addition to the tony hawk series but the gameplay on it is really slow. i would rather play thug2 but this games is ok.
As a parent I was happy with my sons reaction. As a gaming enthusiast, I was happy with the game play and impressed with the graphics.The game has various types of gameplay and my son seems content with character development, which to me is a little odd but the developers seem to have found something that kids find intruiging.

I haven’t had this game for very long, but I simply can’t keep myself away from it. My favorite thing to do is just skate around the world, increasing my stats, finding new and interesting areas, and seeing how badly I can hurt my character, haha. The only two complaints that I have are the sometimes frustrating goals and the absurd amount of lag that occurs when I go from one section of the world to another. Other than that, it’s a really fun and humorous game.

This game has got a lot of negative criticism. I agree with the criticism for THP8, but the good things are good enough to take a look at it.Pretty predictable plot going here, you’re some skater, and you’re going for something (this time Project 8), and you have to complete a lot of goals to do it. This part will be familiar (and a little boring) for any Hawk nut. However, the goals THEMSELVES have been changed dramatically. Here’s a rundown:Am,Pro and Sick- Instead of picking a difficulty level to begin with, you are given the chance to get a better rating based on your performance. The good news is that if you are new to the game or you just can’t get a particular type of goal down on Sick, you can go back to it when your skills have improved or when your character is better.Bailing- This part is so funny. The first time I actually flew while I bailed, I was literally laughing so hard I thought I was going to tear my ribs. Think about how I felt whe nI got the “break 15 bones” achievement! Best of all, purposely bailing has actually been integrated into the game (A few goals require you to bail through gates, on a target, etc.). This game’s physics are SO horrible, you might end up flying across the entire city on a single bail.Brand New Classic- Instead of having a classic mode seperate from the story, now Neversoft has seamlessly integrated Classic Mode into the story’s goals. The good news and bad news is that you have to do at least some classic goals if you.

This game is amazingly fun. All sorts of tricks are avail to do and excellent graphics. LOVE IT! <3Only 1 issue with the game itself, the cheat codes wont work for me. I have tried everything I know. I did some research and evidently for this 360 game, the cheat codes cannot be used. If they can be, I have not found a way to make them work.

Graphics are incredible and the new levels are fun to skate. You can laterally skate/grind/slide just about everything possible. Some of the goals/challenges are pretty hard but if like the Tony Hawk series you definitely love this one!

I just got an xbox 360 and this was the first game I got. I’ve beaten every game in the tony hawk series minus downhill jam. The large world was nice but the list of goals was way too short. Some of the goals are unclear as to what you are supposed to do. I’m not disappointed I bought the game but I was hoping the cutscenes would be better (granted the ones in wasteland had worse animation than the actual gameplay). All the actual video of pros they had in the game was a nice change, and the motion capture looked good. I would have enjoyed it more if there were more goals.
