I have played every MH inspired game on the Vita that I know of, and Toukiden stands out as being the best so far. The weapon selection, movesets, and the collectible weapon upgrades are all great systems.I would give it 5 stars, but I am still having difficulty joining multiplayer games and the difficulty of the game seems to be all over the place. For the first half of the offline missions, the game feels too easy. After that, the difficulty ramps up rapidly to the point where you have to grind weapons to beat the last few missions.The difficulty of MHTri matched me better, personally.

If you are not familiar with this game, the theme of it is like demon slayer with kind of samurai Character that kills demons (ripping away parts that provides materials for creating armors and weapons), on each missions you collect materials for creating stuff need to improve attacks and defense (weapons and armors =))The graphics of the game are not insane but its playability is great and it has enough missions to and dlcs to play over and over again =)If you have Soul Sacrifice THIS IS A MUST :).

uck the game begining was so long and boring it just kept dragging on i know theres fun monster bashing eventually but i my patience and just gave up on it. so be warnned the first dozen or so quests are reallly blah

I have never been into JRPG games but after reading the positive reviews for this game I decided to give it a try and am SO glad I did ..I love hack and slash games so this game is just right for me.. Besides the satisfying fast and fluid combat the game actually has a pretty good story. The only draw back is that unless you speak japaneese you will be reading the dialouge at the bottom of the screen. This is the only part that was a little concerning to me before I made my purchase , but after playing the game, it doesn’t detract from the game at all.. I’ve gotten completely used to it already, and don’t give it a seconds thought anymore.If you are a person that worries about graphics you can lay your worries to rest with this game because it is beautiful.. The characters , environment , spells , explosions , enemy types all look amazing.I really never thought it would happen but I find myself wanting to try many other JRPG games since I found this gem , and have since downloaded a few demos and already have a list of others I will be picking up after I complete this game. This is simply a great game and one that I am sure any fan of the hack and slash type of game will enjoy.Solid 5 out of 5

This game is a ton of fun and is a great (I would argue superior) alternative to Capcom’s Monster Hunter games. The game is absolutely beautiful, easily trumping the PS3 in terms of graphical quality. The gameplay is solid and varied as you can choose from 6 different weapons to use. Weapon movesets are well designed and all of the moves are meaningful. The story of the game is filled with likeable characters, each with their own secrets and back-story. No character is neglected from the plot. Boss fights, which are the main focus of the game, are fun and rewarding, and award you bonus items based on how skillfully you defeat the boss.On the down side, the bosses are quite easy until you invest a good amount of time into the game. Unless you are really bad, you won’t be dying often, if at all. While the game is quite fun, it can become tedious quickly. In comparison to Monster Hunter, the amount of grinding in this game is mininal. You are able to build a full set of boss armor plus a weapon with at most 4 or 5 boss kills. However, after the first few times the boss fights become boring because the patterns are the same every time.Overall the game is well designed and fun, but beware of burning out. The grind isn’t too bad, and is leagues better than other similar games, but there is still a grind so prepare for it. Luckily, this is not the sort of game where you must get every set of equipment. You can more than afford to skip the majority of sets. If anything, the story and.
