   Warlords is a 4-way battle, where each player controls a fortress in each corner of the screen. With less than four players, you can set some corners to A.I. controls to fill in the missing slots. This game uses paddle controllers; you’ll need two sets for all four players.Warlords is played similar to pong, where you use a paddle to block incoming balls. Your paddle wraps around your fortress, so it will move both left/right and up/down depending on your position. In some game modes you can catch the ball and throw it using the button.When a ball makes it past your paddle, it will knock a brick out of your fortress. Once enough bricks are destroyed, a path to your warlord will be cleared. A hit on your warlord loses the game, and the last warlord remaining wins the game.Due to the chaotic nature of 4-way combat, this makes a great party game. Get four people playing and you’ll have a great time.

   like pong but mulitplayer, protect your base against attacks and try to deflect the ball back at your friends base

   In this game you have to be fast and accurate,protect your castle while destroying your opponents,catch the ball and manuever fast to get the kill shot but watch out the ball can and will cause catostrophic damage

   Even though I was born way after the Atari 2600 was the king of game consoles, I inherited the system by means of a sibling going off to college, to this day I still remember the fun I had playing this game. Yes, compared to today’s graphical technology and extensive networking capabilities, this game is a bit lacking. However, the amount of fun I have had ranks this game as one of the best I have ever played.Consider this game to be the first Mario Party, Fusion Frenzy, and etc. The multilayer was beyond epic. Since I can’t really explain the objective of the game I am just going to copy-and-paste the description from the Moby Games web site.”Each of the four players are in one of the corners of the screen guarded by a castle. You control a small shield which can be moved around the edge of the castle. To survive you need to use the shield to block a ball which bounces around the screen. If the ball hits your castle, it will take out some of the bricks. If a hole forms in the castle wall and the ball makes it though and hits your warlord, then you are out of the game. The last player left alive wins the battle, and the first player to win five battles wins the game!”The quirky controller and the basic gameplay will undoubtedly forever be remembered by me.

   Warlords has some pretty deep gameplay based on a simple, yet ingenious concept. Pong’s an all-time classic, and we all know that. But combine its mechanics with Breakout-ish blocks behind the paddles, and add more players against each other, and you’ve got what could be the ultimate early 80s multiplayer experience.The resulting gameplay is just AWESOME, and it couldn’t work in a better way. The battles between you, the CPU, and/or your friend(s?) could get pretty intense as the ball could possibly change speed (depending on how it bounced off something). Warlords is great in arcades, and the Atari 2600 does the game justice when it comes to delivering this epic experience at home.
