I grew up with this film, and now that I have little kids of my own I figured on sharing it with them. So rewatching the film, I realized…..this is a super weird movie. The whole circus of fear aside, the death of the main villain is one of the creepiest things I’ve ever seen in a movie. I always fast forward through that, because my two year old gets wimpery when he sees creepy stuff (I made the mistake of watching Highlander while he was awake, and the Kurgan gave him nightmares). But overall, I still love it. You can’t beat John Goodman’s appeal as the t-rex. It’s not a classic by any means, but it sure is fun.

I love this movie, and It’s about time that this movie is released onto DVD. This movie has lots of action and adventure, and the dinosaurs all have great characteristics. I laugh at the scene where Woog is streeking his large tongue across the display window of the delicatessen, as he sees the display of deli meats. My favorite character is Elsa, since she’s very flighty and affectionate. And interesting enough, that alot of the background scenes of NYC are actual digital images of NYC. I would definately buy this movie.

So happy about this purchase. I use to watch this movie as a kid and now my daughter enjoys watching it as well

A heartwarming children’s movie, narrated beautifully by Walter Cronkite. Good moral lessons. A little scary at times, but appropriate for children 6+ (IMHO).

Great movie for the whole family. Brings parents back to the old style of movies and gives kids something to watch that won’t make parents go crazy. You may have a hard time finding your kid a Rex plush after but still worth watching.
