Two major issues:1. hard to control music with wiimote.2. Music hard to read. wish Nintendo add real music notes to wii music — similar to the editor in Anvil Studio

Great game from Wii! It’s so perfect for younger kids because they just have to learn the motion of whatever "instrument" they’re playing, and then that’s it! No winning or losing or frustrating parts. My kids (6 and 4) picked it up right away. You do have to get through the beginning tutorial as a single-player, but then you can do up to 4 together.

My son has Wii Music, and it’s a great game. I ordered this for my nephew and received a book titled Weight Loss Before, During and After Sex by Richard Smith instead. Thank goodness I did not have it shipped directly to my nephew!!!retrolio was great about a refund, thank goodness. Buy the game, just NOT from GoCrazyGames!!!!

I like it, kids like it, what else does it need? The only gripe I have is the same I have with everything these days, there isn’t any printed manual, you have to figure out all the ins and outs and “kids today” do that a lot better than us old fossils. That said, it does a great job of holding the beginners hand and introducing them to the game. Particularly good for kids or whoever that are learning an instrument solo and would like some experience in what it’s like to play in a band with other people.

Wii Music takes the world of creating musical songs and brings it into the simple but fun world of the Wii. In some ways it’s easier than the Guitar Hero / Rock Band games – in other ways it’s more creative.First, the basics. You can play a song with 1-4 people. You can play a few minigames with 1-4 people. Also, you can take their built in lessons.I find the start-up of the game tedious. You have to go through a series of boring lessons when all you want to do is start playing. The game isn’t complicated – wave the controls up and down to hit the drums, piano keys, or pretty much any instrument you play. I love the selection of instruments available, and that there are various stages to play on. The song selection is extremely limited though. You only have a few songs to start with and not that many more to unlock. Most are public domain songs, with a few Nintendo songs and a spare handful of “real” songs thrown in. With all the amazing music games out there, you’d think they could have FAR more songs in the set, whether they’re old classics or new ones.In most other games like Guitar Hero you are trying to match the notes. The song has ABBB, you have to try to play ABBB in the right rhythm. Here, it’s a free for all. You hammer the notes as much or as little as you want, and they play “in key”. This makes it amazingly fun for kids – but more frustrating for musicians. You can’t add your own take. All you can do is play or not play a note. Maybe you can play it louder or sof.

My daughter loves the game. I hooked the system up in my SUV and she played it for most of the 4 hour trip we went on.

Haven’t had much chamce to play the game. So far there is a lot of prep time to learn how to have “Fun” with the game. It seems that you need to put time in to unlock more of the game. I think there is potential based on previews I just haven’t gotten there yet.

I am married with a 6 and 4 year old and we all enjoy Wii Music. We usually play songs together, my kids really enjoy the variety of instruments and the option to play on beat or not. My 4 year old, who can’t really do rhythm games yet, is actually able to participate because the game does what he wants it to, rather than he having to do what it wants him to. My 6 year old prefers to try and get everything just right, and has really gotten into the mini-games. The instrument quality isn’t as good as it could be and the song selection would have been better, for me, if there had been more Nintendo themes; but we’ve been very satisfied and if your family is like ours, the game may work for you too.

I think this Wii game is great. Unfortunately, when you purchase the Wiigame, you have to purchase a lot of extras. This particular game needs anextra to play different instruments.I think the entire Wii systems is wonderful. A wonderful familypartipating activity.Grandma of 4
