My daughter loves the game. I hooked the system up in my SUV and she played it for most of the 4 hour trip we went on.

Haven’t had much chamce to play the game. So far there is a lot of prep time to learn how to have “Fun” with the game. It seems that you need to put time in to unlock more of the game. I think there is potential based on previews I just haven’t gotten there yet.

Wii Music is like an instant vacation to a pleasant, easy-going park. How much you enjoy it will depend a lot on how much you like the Miis: If–like me–you find them charming and funny, you’ll have a blast watching your Mii rock out on guitars, bagpipes, harps and conga drums. Be sure to check out code sites for the secret to providing them with alternate costumes. It’s certainly not a “game” like Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero challenges you to keep up with the pace and reproduce the song exactly as intended. Wii Music is about improvisation and remixing. Its challenge (aside from the 3 mini games) comes from trying to create your own 6-part (or less) mix of a popular tune with a tool box of 60 instruments. To get a decent sounding song, you have to be creative with your choices and play well in each part. If you stick with it, it’s a blast. There’s a lot going on here: Each instrument’s sound changes depending on whether you’re using it for melody, harmony, bass, chords, etc. Try doing a barbershop quartet using only voices. Try an all-bagpipe rendition of “Material Girl.” Alter the speed of the song and change its mood entirely. Some have griped about the song selection. I love the choices, though more would be certainly be welcome. All the songs lend themselves well to improvisation. To be honest, they had me sold on it when I learned it included “Daydream Believer,” “Sukiyaki,” and the Mario Theme. “Loco Motion” was a genius choice, perfect for this.I really enjoy being able to.

Best game I have ever played. It was very dumb but also very entertaining probably wont get too many hours of play out of it but its is fun to annoy people with

Even though I have no musical ability at all, I can figure out how to “play” all of the instruments. Using the wiimotes, the entire family can jam to a wide variety of music.

I am married with a 6 and 4 year old and we all enjoy Wii Music. We usually play songs together, my kids really enjoy the variety of instruments and the option to play on beat or not. My 4 year old, who can’t really do rhythm games yet, is actually able to participate because the game does what he wants it to, rather than he having to do what it wants him to. My 6 year old prefers to try and get everything just right, and has really gotten into the mini-games. The instrument quality isn’t as good as it could be and the song selection would have been better, for me, if there had been more Nintendo themes; but we’ve been very satisfied and if your family is like ours, the game may work for you too.

I think this Wii game is great. Unfortunately, when you purchase the Wiigame, you have to purchase a lot of extras. This particular game needs anextra to play different instruments.I think the entire Wii systems is wonderful. A wonderful familypartipating activity.Grandma of 4
