Liked the old sim cities, addicted to this, absolutely brilliant. Played normal mode – loved the challenge (budget/sim), then downloaded map and mods. Loved it again building with so many added assets. Endless fun and possibilities. LOVE IT. I would have paid $80 for this.

After reading reviews I was expected to be blown away by Cities and uninstall SimCity, well almost but not quite. I played SimCity since the early 90’s and seen its decline throughout the years. Cities Skylines loads much quicker than SimCity and doesn’t have that long introduction with a nice clean start up screen. Most game icons are very similar to SC so there’s not much to learn to quickly start playing. It does lack some things I didn’t mind having in SC like daytime and nighttime with disasters and riots. Instead, people gets sick and die if their water is dirty or don’t have enough health and death care facilities, however the game expects you to place more than a realistic amount of those to satisfy its citizens. I really like that there’s a built-in terrain editor and don’t have to download a separate program. I played SimCity after Cities Skylines and I didn’t play for long as it was sluggish and the graphics weren’t nearly as good. While I would love to give Cities Skyline 5 stars it could use a few extras that I mentioned earlier, plus I’d love to see an undo feature from either franchise. All in all, Cities is definitely getting there and a very good replacement.

Purchased for my steam account. Great city sim game.

I love everything about this game other than we need to be able to lay the roads more realisticSTILL! 5/5

One of my favorite games! You can loose a lot of time playing/having fun. They keep making cool expansion packs that don’t generally cost too much too.
Duc Nguyen –
Really enjoyable but there are a few flaws and glitches.

I bought this game through Steam and can honestly say it is the best city building game I have played so far. It’s years ahead of Cities XL series and it utterly destroys Sim City in nearly every aspect. With the latest patch, the devs added a lot of new features for free to players so you don’t get the expensive DLC crap that is the industry practice now. The graphics are really good for a game like this and the attention to detail is really good. You pretty much have freedom to do whatever you like and build your city any way you wish. The road system is really well done and your city is fairly easy to run even when it becomes very large. The game also seems optimized as I have yet to encounter lag spikes and I have yet to see anything more than a minor bug. If you like sim games, then this one is for you. My only complaint is that eventually, you run out of room to build altogether but this will take quiet a while to get to that point. It would have been nice to keep expanding and expanding and keep your city loaded in chunks like Minecraft or 7 Days to Die does. 4.8 stars out of 5.

This may be the end-all-be-all for city builders. This game has good graphics, and good city management options.
