I’ve played and loved the first game and I am still playing this one right now. The corrupted save data glitch that the 3DS has is not in this one which is nice and instead of just one save file this one gives you 3!The only complaints that I have with this game are minor. First, you can clearly tell when you go into a memo, move around or even do some of the puzzles in the game maybe it is because I have big fingers but it clearly was made to compliment the 3DS controls during those points, but it doesn’t cut so much into the puzzle solving game-play to be that much of a turn-off, just more of an annoyance than anything else. Last, some of the puzzles even when going into easy mode aren’t clear enough to help you figure out how solve the puzzle in that particular room. Some of the puzzles I got through them simply by pure stubbornness or luck maybe both.I love the story so far especially the voice acting! I got rather attached into each one of the characters in their own way.I’m a fan of puzzle games with a novel twist so if any of these two interest you, or you played the first one and aren’t afraid to rack your brain a bit in some of the tedious puzzles this is a good game to pick up.

It shouldn’t be a secret to most that the actual gameplay of both this game and its predecessor, 999, consists of little more than an "escape the room’-type puzzle. Still fun and entertaining on their own as both puzzles and as a way to get to know the characters a little more but the meat of it all is the story. the betrayals. the mysteries. the intrigue. this game delivers that in spades and and doesn’t disappoint when it comes to the answers but you will have to work to get them which just makes it that much more satisfying.

    Great game

Please note that this game is the sequel to the DS title "9 persons 9 hours 9 doors". Virtue’s Last Reward will spoil some of the big reveals of 999, so if you plan to play that game, please play it first and then play this title.Without giving anything away about the plot of VLR, I will say that it is an incredibly deep story with a lot of surprise twists and relentless intrigue. Often I had my theories reduced to ashes by one bombshell after another, and very rarely did I call something before it happened (and boy does it feel good to predict something in this game). The game is not all visual novel, though. Half of the game is about escaping a room by solving the puzzles contained within. Every room features unique puzzles covering a broad range of subjects from math to riddles, to three-dimensional puzzles and code-cracking. There were a number of rooms that had me scratching my head, but often all I needed was to take a break and come back to the game later. The puzzles are not the only interaction you will have in the game however, during the visual novel, you will often get opportunities to dramatically alter the course of the story through choices. The most important example of this is a ‘minigame’ called the ‘Ambidex Game’, or ‘AB Game’. Unlike the previous title, the nine persons in VLR are all working towards a very important end-goal – to collect a total of nine ‘bracelet points’ or more. By doing this, a given person can open the number 9 door, and they an.

You like 999? This will very well blow your minds. Nasty plot twist and well designed puzzle has always been the trademark for this developer.

A family member recommended I get this game but finding it for a reasonable price has been difficult until I got it here. The Game Arrived On Time, Works & Has No Psychical Damage. He only negative thing I have to say is I wish a case came with the game.

  7. John Larmu

Perhaps one of the greatest visual novels out there for the playstation vita.So much mystery and questions to be answered, that it leaves a satisfying journey for the quest to learn more about the stories of each individual character and their unique ways of storytelling.Incredible storytelling.

  8. beyondtheGun

Just do yourself a favor and pick up this game! But please play 999 first to get the full experience.

  9. J. Simon

One of the best visual novels I have ever played. I played this non stop until I completed the story 100%.

  10. mike

This is one of the most interesting games I have ever played. It has an awesome story and a very interesting way of telling it. There aren’t many games like this, in English at least. Be warned though, it is mostly reading, and the game play is primarily puzzle solving. But if you love a good story don’t miss this game!
