Fantastic game, great story and gameplay. By far, the best game I’ve played this console generation.Anyone I know who has played it, loved it too and not a bad thing to say about it.I played the game in full, including all the DLC and side missions which took me about 6 months. For the price the Game of the Year edition you cannot go wrong.Cannot recommend this game enough.

This is the first time I’ve ever played a Witcher game. I’ve played the game for 57 + hours so far and there are pro’s and con’s to the game. Was a bit taken back by the sexual scenes so for sure mature audiences only. Been nice to have had the option for multiplayer and of course there was some glitches but nothing to crazy. Graphics are decent and hours of exploring is nice. The print was a bit small even on a 50″ tv. The language is a bit strong but thankfully not excessively used. I don’t like the set up for weapons, the third option (crossbow) is difficult to get to in a hurry.

The Witcher 3 could perhaps be one of the best ‘digital’ experiences I have ever had. Right from the beginning there is a sense of loneliness as you try to do your thing whilst many obstacles seem to obscure your path. The world is open and you can do anything you please, although thanks to character progress and level, some areas of the game are near impossible with a very low level Geralt. This is the game Skyrim should have been! The framerate in the Xbox One X was very stable and can safely say it is one of the best looking games I have yet played. I am now going to replay the game on my PC (its that good!).

Even if you played skyrim, takes a bit getting used to. I have played all elder scroll series. Personally the graphics engine on skyrim is a bit more realistic. When first I saw the characters, they were too shiny like plastic or wax figures. I haven’t seen that with skyrim engine. Nature sceneries are fine from far away view, but when you are riding or walking you can see the rugged shapes of trees and leaves which are not smoothed out. The horse riding is more natural than skyrim. However turning around and trying to get on the horse is a little sluggish. I think primary it could be because of the 3rd person. The main story conversations are long (almost like you’re watching a movie with some input). Sometimes you get bored and just read the titles and skip forward. Definitely not for kids, with lots of nudity. Movements are bit sluggish and unnatural with characters compared to skyrim or assasins creed. But surely they did a great job with the story line and many other things.

The best game ever made? Well, it is certainly one of them. The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is mind-blowing in its scale, its scope and its attention to detail; this game was made with passion and it shows.Initially, I wasn’t so sure. The mechanics of the combat system felt clunky and the extensive menus were overwhelming. However, it doesn’t take long for it all to make sense. It soon becomes apparent that there is far more to the combat than simply rolling towards the opponent, striking and rolling away again. Oils, potions and ‘signs’ all play their part, helping to lend an advantage in a fight, but it doesn’t take too long for the rolling, striking, dodging and counter-attacking to become intuitive and the whole process begins to feel like fun.The learning curve is fairly kind to begin with, easing the player into everything, and the multiple menus for levelling up, enhancing weapons and armour, crafting potions, oils and bombs, etc., start to feel relevant and user-friendly. Furthermore, all of the tutorials can be revisited, although I have never felt the need to go back to them.I hadn’t played either of the prequel games or read any of the books prior to starting The Witcher 3 and I have to admit that whilst the game is perfectly playable without having done so, the experience would have been enriched with more background knowledge. There are some references to situations and characters that are clearly based on prior events and I found myself having to guess at d.
