Short review alert! You already know what the game is about from the other reviewers so I’ll just say what I liked about it.Fun gameplay. You shine the light on enemies to burn away the darkness. Once the darkness is gone you go postal with a glock, or your weapon of choice. I did find myself wishing I could do a little hand to hand fighting when I ran out of bullets, though.Great story. Game is very cinematic and dramatic. Alan is the narrator and writer of his own horror story (creepy, right?)that he is trapped in and it’s terrifying. Also it’s very memorable. The characters in the town of Bright Falls might seem a little cliche, but some of them are hilarious, take the time to talk to a few of them.Graphics. From the time I arrived at the cabin with my wife (Alice) I literally just walked around the house and explored looking at the mountain backdrop, the detailed water and foliage. The entire game is quite the sight to see.Not excessively violent. While guns are the main way that you deal with the enemies. the violence is not excessive. There’s no blood when you shoot them, no lacerated limbs, and the language is mild.In review:This game is great if you like a great story, fun gameplay and great looking game that isn’t too violent.

This game is a great example of a new twist on the survival horror genre. The story, acting, and narration are all excellent. I love the Max Payne feel to the narration and how the game is broken up into episodes like a TV show. That may sound like it’s cheesy but it’s not. The only things that make this a 4 star game instead of 5 for me is the lack of any upgrades and how you have to ‘light’ an enemy up before you can do any damage on them. These are very small flaws, in my opinion, and really aren’t flaws at all. As far as the upgrades, I probably wouldn’t have noticed or cared a few years ago but now I’ve been spoiled by games like the Last of Us, which have all of the greatest aspects of gaming. Having to ‘light’ an enemy up is one of the features in the game that help make it unique so I’m really not too put-out by it either. It’s not often too bad but sometimes makes parts a bit too frustrating. The controls work pretty well except for having to constantly push down the right analog stick to center the camera back over the right shoulder. Again, not something that I would have complained about in the past but I have got used to the Resident Evil style over-the-shoulder camera. I wouldn’t mind if I could just hit it once and then it stay on the right until I hit it again to switch to the left but it always seems to creep back to the left, forcing me to keep on it like a chore to get the angle that I want. Either way, it’s a fun game with great cinematics, item.

I ordered through justpressplayonline and i got the code the next day through email. I would suggest contacting anyone your buying from and ask if they are delivering via email as i did. It may not even be same day delivery but I still got the game for 20 bucks cheaper than i would have on xbox live. As for the game itself I havent played it yet since my internet is awful and i worked 2nd shift yesterday so the 6gb file hasnt downloaded yet.All in all this is a good deal for what a lot of critics have pointed out is a great game.

Halfway through this game I’ve noticed many small loveable details. I now understand the status as a "cult classic". The soundtrack is no longer licensed, so you won’t find a digital download anywhere. Great story and voice acting. Backwards compatible for Xbox one.

Weird creepy game – hard to get into at first – but very good once it gets you there.

Alan Wake for the Xbox 360 is best described as “good-not great”. The game starts off pretty slow and seems repetitive and even a little pointless at first, but sticking with it pays off as the later half of the game really draws you in.Control for the most part is fairly tight but there’s something distinctly “wonky” about the way Alan moves-especially when he jumps. It doesn’t take anything away from the game mind you but visually it’s a bit off putting. There’s also a strange drop shadow on Alan for the majority of the game, like a not-so-subtle black glow that looks unnatural, out of place and to be perfectly blunt, “ugly”. I’m only mentioning this here because it’s really an odd choice to me given the rest of the game’s stunning and polished graphics. It just looks at odds with the rest of the game’s visual style. The majority of the play through is very satisfying. The combination of zapping your enemies with light to make them vulnerable, then polishing them off with your gun is very fun. The game could use a bit more variety in the enemy types though. I kept thinking given the locale in and around a national park-it would’ve been nice to take down a bear or some other darkness possessed animal to break the monotony of shooting countless humanoid “The Taken”. No such luck though. There are birds I suppose (annoying ones at that) but that’s about it. Essentially there are only three types of enemies you fight in the entire game. The driving sections are a wel.

This is a fun game, but I won’t review the game since you can find a lot of reviews elsewhere. Instead, I’ll review the method of delivery.I wan unsure if this would be a scam since it was so cheap. It is not a scam, you are sent what looks like a DVD card with a pull tab on the back that you can redeem on XBOX Live to download the game. You need about 7GB free to download it, but it is a great way to get this game cheap!
