All-Star Baseball 2003 is a fabulous game. Although I’ve never played any games from the High Heat series, this blows Triple Play out of the water. All the different modes of play alone put it ahead of all the other games (nobody else even has a franchise mode!!). Fielding and Pitching is very well represented. Only a slightly odd looking catch will happen every now and again, but this is just a minor glitch. I’ve seen a couple of people complain about the hitting being difficult. If you don’t want realism, then buy Triple Play. The scores are normal for a real baseball game 4-2, 5-3, 2-0, etc. It’s realistic, so therefore hits don’t happen all the time. There are bloop singles, line drives off the wall, hard grounders past the infielders, everything is represented. Without a doubt, buy this game, you won’t regret it!!!

Let me start of by saying that this is one of the best baseball games I have ever played. I am not a serious gamer so to speak, but I buy every baseball game that comes out, and I have never seen any game that is as realistic as this one. The expansion mode is great because you can create your own custom team. The only drawback of this feature is that you can’t create city team names of your own; you have to choose from the options on the game. So instead of having my Lake Balboa Aliens, I am stuck with my Washington D.C. Fury. Not horrible, but not as good as it could be in my opinion. The game looks absolutely incredible. I was amazed at how realistic the stadiums and players stances are. For instance, when I play with my beloved Atlanta Braves in Shea Stadium, not only do the fans boo, but you can see planes taking off from JFK. THAT IS DETAIL.I love the fact that you have farm systems. If you are playing a season with Yankees and Robin Ventura goes down? Hmmmm, do you go after Joe Smo free agent third baseman? Nope…call up Drew Henson. NICE!Okay, let’s get on to what I don’t like…afterall, you are reading this review for why you shouldn’t buy it…not what you should, right? There were only two things that really bugged me to start:1) I created a pitcher and picked him as a free agent. One of his pitches is supposed to be a knuckle ball. The problem is, every time I hit the button to throw the knuckle ball, the game freezes. Well, it took me a couple of t.

This was a really good game good graphics good sound. The only thing that I didn’t really like was it dosen’t tell you what the buttons are and it dosent show where the ball is going to be before the pitcher throws it, they show it at the last second. Thats allright though it makes it a little more challenging and I will always like a challenge.

If you are crazy about baseball like me, then you will just love this game. The gameplay is sweet, with basically no problems, the graphics you ask? Take a look at the screenshots and you’ll see why this game has me going wild. The game also features many different modes of play from, career mode( following a player), to franchise mode where you coach, general manage, and play for your favorite team for many fun filled seasons. So why are you reading this?! You should be buying All Star Baseball 2003 right now! SO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like all Baseball games, the season is long. After all, there’s no way you can play 162 games in 4 days unless you simulate games and that’s no fun.But anyway, this was a good game. Graphics are pretty basic, the commentators aren’t as annoying as any of the John Madden series games and all in all, it’s good for all ages. Not much more to say than that. But in any case give this game a shot because it might grow on you. Have fun!

This game is very realistic. It has broken bats, and evrything you will ever need from a baseball video game. If you can’t play on defense very well, they have assists you can use so stop crying over things like that. Hitting is challenging if you use the triangle thing, but again if you can’t handle it there is easy hitting. The more I play it the more I notice the detail and closness this game comes to the real thing. If you don’t like this game I suggest to you that you stay away from sports games because your dumb. In other words, this game’s stats, as far as sports games go, is up with madden football 2002. So what are you doing? Go get it. (Giants are awsome)

4 stars…that’s right, 4. Why? See cons for the reason. Let’s talk graphics, I own the PS2 & GameCube versions and I have to edge to PS2. Some may think I’m crazy, but there’s just a slight more stability than Nintendo’s. Both are beautifully rendered and attractive. Though…let’s get a little more realism in the gameplay. An umpire or base coach diving out of the way is cool, but how many players sit huddled up after an out? Also, a tie at a base goes to the runner…go to MLB’s official site and lookup the rules if you don’t believe me. And just how many people really trip over the first base bag? That’s just a funny aspect. Replays are nice, though watching your batter hit a home run without connecting to the ball is always laughable. Ok, so I’m nitpicking, so what…this game is fun and needs a little tweaks. You can do worse…Triple Play 2002 & High Heat Baseball. The announcing can be repetitive, but not as much as the other 2 I mentioned. Well, maybe I should include the fact that the announcers are…A-1 friend’s of Bob Brenly & George W. Bush…no slap at either, just a lot of commentary on it…for what reason I’ll never know. On the informative side, they offer a lot of info on the game, plus quick-witted commentary which seems to be off the top of their heads as the game progresses, until…that is…you get to 97 games in and you’ve heard it all.Minimal advertising folks! TP 2002 is loaded with Coca-Cola and various other ads, I forget what High Heat has. Anyw.

I love this game. It is the most realistic game for PS2 that is a sports game. The gameplay is awesome, The Hitting is Hard at first but then it gets easier and easier and easier just like the other AllStar Baseball games were. This one makes it better b/c the computer can come back unlike other games were it’s 200 to 2 in the 5th inning. The Franchise is The best ever, you can play up 2 20 seasons and sign your free agents and stuff and your created player is 20 yrs old when you start and always gets better. They make a few glitches like catches that shouldn’t be but have you ever seen a perfect game were there no mistakes. I have never seen one of those. This game is the best Baseball game for PS2 i suggest you should buy the game!
