    I was a bit hestitant in getting this game, as I was seeing quite a few negative reviews about navigation and it not being able to scan your body properly and so on… I got this game last night, and the only complain I have now is that I have to be at work in aching pain….This game is superb….I should not call it a game because its really not a game….its an exercise/workout programme that is customized to fit your goal. I have no problems with the game recoginizing me, it reacts well to my moves…..it prompts you when you are not doing the exercise properly and commends you when you are.Except for the body scan being a bit off….I’m 5’10 and it scanned my height to be 5’4….and my neck being 183″, its perfect… the good thing about it is that it allows you to manually enter your measurements….I play soccer three times a week so I thought I was in shape…the game suggested that I start out at the intermediate level, which i thought was a disrespect to my fitness…..but after doing half hour in a one hour routine I had to quit…..Now I’m thinking if I should have started as a beginner or choose a shorter work out routine…..Cut a long story short….I have experienced no problems with this game, it recognizes what i’m doing perfectly, and i have no prob with navigating through the menu….if you are thinking about getting a workout game, I strongly recommend this….10/10….Excellent game.

    This is probably the best weight-loss/fitness program I’ve ever bought. The first time you use this program it does a full-body scan and fitness test. Then, you choose the activity level, number and length of workouts that fit your needs. I tried other Kinect exercise programs, but they did not allow me to set times, exercise levels or target for full-body weight loss. I’m overweight and have tried a number of ways to lose weight and get healthy, but none that have been as motivating or having as much potential to fit MY needs as this one.The interface on this game is fine. There are occasional glitches – sometimes it seems to have problems reading my movements, but if I step forward or back a little it picks me back up usually. For the most part, it tracks my movements and gives feedback when my form isn’t right. It’s adaptive and when I have problems with certain exercises, moves onto a different one. The tracking feature is something I find motivational as it keeps track of my progress. I love the variety of workouts – every day it is something different. The circuit routines are the most common assigned, but even those vary from day-to-day. I love the occasional box-fit or yoga routine that allows for variety. You can even choose to add exercises that use a stability ball or exercise bands.The only suggestions I would have for improvement would be a master menu that allows a user to opt-out of a limited number of exercises that can’t be done because of physiolo.

    This Kinect XBox Workout dvd is fast and fun! It has high intensity workouts as well as relaxing yoga stretching and meditation. I enjoy doing this workout in the mornings before going to work. It has helped me regain some balance i had lost sue to surgeries, as well as strengthen my core. As far as weight loss, this workout, along with a healthy diet, riding bikes,and zumba, i have lost 20 lbs so far. You just have to be committed to it. Very happy with this.

    I haven’t played this game in forever.. but when I bought it, I loved it! It really felt like a workout and some of the pilates moves were no joke! Lol. I really felt like I had a workout when I played this game but I also have to say that it did get boring. But that’s what happens with most workouts I do lol. I need tons of variety.

    It’s a great game to play when you want to work-out but are not sure what to start with.Makes it easier to motivate yourself to lose weight and get healthy.

    Occasionally the kinect doesn’t follow your movements as well as it could but the workouts are great. They have variations so you don’t get bored and work on muscle confusion to help the body strengthen and lose weight.

    I love it and I’m so glad i got it. The best part about it, is when I’m working out i can talk to it and say like I need water and it stops lets me get water then when i come back it starts again. I also love that when I’m working out that it tells me how I’m doing and if im not doing it right it tells me what to do to work on it. It’s very nice because then your really doing it right and not the wrong way! so worth it and it kicked my butt on the first day that i started and every day since. I see myself winning this week’s weight in! Thank you Biggest loser for making it fun to work out and keeping me wanting to work out more!!!

    I have to say I was most excited to get this game for Christmas and pleasantly surprised by its performance. After reading all of the reviews for it, I came to expect some of the programming difficulties that would come with any Kinect games at this stage in the process.Pro’s:1. This game will immediately correct you if you are not going deep enough, do not have your arms in proper form, you are not working within the range of recommended speed, etc. It will pretty much ensure that you are doing the moves correctly.2. There are, of course, no controllers at all so all you have to focus on is your form, speed and performance.3. There are voice prompts where they ask you how you’re feeling in order to gauge your next moves (is it too hard? do you need a water break? etc.) and all you have to do is answer them.4. You get automatic water breaks.5. You can pick how long you are able to work out (under 20 minutes, 20, 30, etc.)6. They give you a recommended calorie intake and can track that for you throughout the course of your program.7. You tell them what your goals are in regards to length of program and they customize the plan for you to reach your goals…realistically.Cons:1. There were some floor excercises that they were unable to measure my performance because of the positioning they have you in on the floor. No matter how I tried to readjust myself, Kinect was not able to measure me.2. As other reviewers stated, their body scans were off (for me, just in my height) but yo.

    I initially didn’t get this game because of its age (2010) and negative reviews (mostly about the controls), and went with the Ubisoft title which was newer (2012) and shinier. I’ll save most of my thoughts about Your Shape for that review, but suffice to say it was frustrating in its own way. So I decided to try Biggest Loser after all, and I’m really glad I did.What I love most about Biggest Loser is that it feels like an actual guided fitness program. Wii Fit and Your Shape have a lot of exercises, but no structure or guidance as to which to do, when, or why. Even though it isn’t intuitive to figure out on BL:UW, I’ve designed a 3x/week program geared to my current fitness level. There is even a calendar showing me my upcoming schedule, and what I’ll be doing (20 minutes circuit training, cardio boxing, yoga, etc). I really like this because it is a structure I can simply follow.The first day of each week is scheduled as a “challenge” day and weigh-in. The challenges are short fitness activities that are set up to look like you’re playing against other contestants. They’re basically just one-off exercises with an added element of ‘gameplay.’ There’s a leaderboard, scores, etc. The weigh-in is also designed like the TV show; you step forward onto the “scale” so Allison can show you your weight. (Of course, since you must weigh yourself and enter your own weight, it’s not much of a reveal.) Still, a nice way to end/begin the week, and I look forward to seeing progre.

    I almost gave up on trying to get this game to work. I’m glad I figured it out though and got to the workout portion.A few things that were problematic:The very first thing I tried to do was set up my avatar. The controls for this are AWEFUL! There are icons but no words telling you what you are selecting until you move your hand over it and then it selects it faster than you can move your hand away. Then when you select something to change–take hair color for example–there are no words or even icons telling you what you are selecting. The hair color is changed by sliding a slider along a little line inside an oval. You have to slide it the length of the oval in order to see what color the hair turns to. There is only one option for each main color–one blonde, one black, one brown, one red and one grey. I could handle the limited options if they would at least spell out the options so I don’t have to waste my time moving the slider to every position to find the ones I want. Other features are changed by moving a ball inside a square or a triangle. The options for where certain features are inside the square seem completely arbitrary and you have to play with it in order to figure out how to get the look you want. Worst part about all of this is that you must do this with your hands and the Kinect sensor. There is no option to use the x-box controller for set-up. This whole process would have been a lot faster/easier with the x-box controller. I spent 20-30 min.
