Bought as Xmas gift for 5 year old that just discovered MJ. She loves it and won’t stop dancing. Also a great work out for adults. The dancing is much faster and harder than Just Dance. But also a lot more fun. Kids may have difficulty getting high scores with all the intricate moves. One other con is there are dance lessons but you have to earn stars to be able to access. It will take my 5 year old a long time to earn access. But at least she’ll have a good time trying.
I bought this game while my mom was visiting, at the suggestion of one of her friends, for something fun to do. Who would think that we both loved it so much that she ordered one for her wii and bought one as a birthday gift for my aunt. This game is so much fun that you don’t even realize that you’re burning calories. I’ve started to incorporate it into my workout plan because I can do this for an easy hour and get cardio in while having a great time. Plus, it’s really fun to try and beat your previous scores. Definitely recommend this for anyone who likes to dance and likes Michael Jackson’s music/videos.
I purchased the Wii system just for the Michael Jackson experience! I grew up living a couple houses up from him when he was about 17 years old. My mom loved his music and so did I. I love this game and it is an excellent workout — it may look easy but it’s not–the best thing though is you can dance just like Michael and that gets you through it! It let’s you know you got one of his moves right, the screen flashes ‘perfect!’ I just wish there were more songs–MJ experience 2?? He will always be missed. He was the only King of Pop–now he gets to dance for God! Highly recommend this!
I was a little skeptical about this game, but bought it during a great sale. We love the Just Dance Wii games, but for some reason I thought the MJ game wouldn’t have enough song variety. Boy oh boy was I wrong! There is music for days, and lots of variety in the dance routines too. This game is great and the whole family (from 6 to adult) loves to play it.We’ve even invited people over to play with us. Playing with two players is awesome – it gives you great routines where you are dancing with each other (as apposed to both doing the same exact dance).I will say that the navigation took some getting used to, but overall, the game is awesome.
This game is awesome!! I use it as my daily workout and stress reliever. I am a die-hard MJ fan and my 9-year old son is twice as devoted to Michael as I am. He LOVES Michael since he was a toddler and he taught himself to moonwalk, tiptoe and may signature MJ moves. When this game was announced I HAD to get it for his birthday! This game is totally amazing. The interface is nice but still easy to navigate; We love the song selection: classic hits like Billie Jean, Thriller, Beat it, Bad, Smooth Criminal, etc. are all there, but also several funky disco hits like Rock with you, Sunset Driver and more; they even managed to choreograph some ballads and other songs like Who is it and Money, which is nice! The Dance school is pretty good, although, compared to the sophistication of the training modes on the new dance games for the Kinect, this is merely a collection of video tutorials. You have to dance and win star points to unlock more training routines, which keeps you motivated. The songs range from reasonably easy to almost impossible in level of difficulty. But even some songs that are marked easy, may be quite challenging, so there is very little room for boredom here. One of the few things my son and I found annoying, is that they changed up some classic choreographies: Thriller and Beat it, to be specific. They are so different from the original that is even laughable, but I guess they have to make it possible for all people to dance. We were a bit disappointed because.
I was absolutely frustrated initially with this dancing game. HOWEVER–!!! Once I started getting the hand motions down, I was able to incorporate some of the leg/foot movements and really had a blast!It took about 5 minutes for me to get into a BIG sweat (I am 57 years old and totally out of shape)! It’s an excellent exercise video because you’re having so much fun you don’t realize you’re moving as much/as hard as you are. The first time I played, I only lasted 2 songs. I’m now up to 10 songs (in less than 5 days) & play the same one over & over again trying to get it down & “PERFECT!”I can’t wait until tomorrow–when I take this to my grandchildren’s home for Easter in Wisconsin & can get them into it! They’re already very active–soccer, baseball, basketball, swimming, etc. But I think this will purge some of that “extra energy” out of them–at least until they “beat Grandma!” :-) That shouldn’t take too long, LOL!BUY IT! YOU’LL LOVE IT! And don’t get frustrated. Just learn the hand movements first, THEN dance! It’s a game for those who aren’t coordinated–like me!
When I bought this, it was between this and Just Dance 2…sooooo glad I stuck with Michael! If you’re a fan of Michael, you will LOVE this! The choreography ranges from easy to difficult, depending on which songs you choose, making it a nice game for the family…I hope they come out with a part 2 because I felt some of his hits were missing (would have loved to dance to “Scream”)..even though I was introduced to a couple of songs I had never heard (and loved them)…My favorite dances are “Sunset Driver”, “Ghosts”, and “Speed Demon”…and of course “Thriller”….Buy it..you won’t regret it :)
I love any dancing game but having one specific to MJ makes me love it even more. It’s all the best songs and great graphics. It can be used as a workout and time passes by so fast that you don’t even realize you’ve had a full work out. Once I upgraded to a wii u, i haven’t played much with it anymore. Still good though.
10 10 10’s across the board if I could. I’m so happy with my order. It seems like I got it within two days no lie when I only paid for standard shipping. The pictures were spot on; it was a perfect match.My only problem is on me. When shopping on retrolio, I can’t figure out what other items the shop has to offer for the same product. I don’t like having to order the same things, in different styles same prices and pay 2 different shipping fees. Once I learn that, I will become loyal to one shop for a particular product.Thanks so much for my gifts.
This is not the most advanced game out there; far from it. So all you read about the controller only tracking your hand, yadda, yadda, yadda…are true. But my kids are not “techie nerds” & just want to have fun. This delivers. Out of all the Xmas gifts, this game wins hands down for the most use thus far. My kids play, or dance, to it constantly. The music is great especially if you have a nice surround sound system. But most importantly the kids just love to dance along to it and cannot put it down. Money well spent. My kids are 10, 8, 7, and 5 year olds. They have hundreds of Wii, PS3, PSP, games. They play this one.

Pro:- Lights off, music on, MJ walks to the center stage, only this time, it’s you!- Yes, the real MJ sound track is everything!- Great hints and very generous scoring are quite welcome to us dance-challenged mortals- No foot work required! Yes, this is exactly how people like me and my 6 year old feel like MJ :) This is Karaoke with a kick, literally!- The moves look great to us, almost real! My 6 year old openly wonders if the real MJ was doing the dancing…Con: – Not much. It’s Wii’s problem that the wait between tracks are so long. But hey, nothing is perfect. I agree that there’re more MJ songs not on this disc. Maybe a MJ Experience Mk 2?MJ is the greatest artist with real passion. It clearly radiates from his music and moves. I am just glad to have the chance to pretend to be in his shoes for a few brief moments in my life. The truly greats never die. Thank you Unisoft for making all ths happen!

Such a fun video game! Various levels of challenge and great for getting everyone moving. We often pull this out at family events and everyone takes turns playing–from my 20 to 35-year-old siblings, to my 58-year-old dad, to my teenage nieces and nephews. Even the three-year-old jumps around with a remote in hand to join in the fun! Who can sit still when listening to Michael anyway?

The kids are loving this dance game and learning all the moves-so cute when they show off their new dance skills. Great for keeping them up and moving rather than sitting and they don’t even realize they’re getting in the exercise. I was worried it might not work on the wiiU but it’s perfectly compatible.

This game is very fun. The kids (ages 11 thru 19) played it for hours on Christmas day. The adults enjoyed it as well and would have played for hours, but it became a bit much for us after a couple dances! So we settled for just watching, which was just as entertaining. This game makes a fun workout, which I plan to use it for. Like some of the other reviewers commented, I was not too crazy about the warm-ups having to be unlocked, or having to enter your name after each dance. Otherwise, awesome game!

Michael Jackson the Experience is a very entertaining dance game. It is challenging and there are a variety of songs and difficulties to choose from. I especially like that you can choose to dance as Michael or one of his backup dancers. You don’t have to play with a group to have fun with this game but it is definitely more fun when you do. Some of the song options were not some of MJ’s most popular songs but they are all good. The lyrics at the bottom of the screen are small but in this way, they are not distracting. As you play, you unlock training videos. Some of these videos do not match the choreography in the game so I don’t really see the point unless you want to dance like the real music video. I think that the choreography in the game is fine.Overall, a fun game that is also a good workout if you play it long enough! I would highly recommend.

I am a huge MJ fan and pre-ordered the game when I heard about it and I will say I am not disappointed, but I was sore when I played it for two days since it was a really good workout. I am not a dancer and will never claim to do any moves like Michael, but if you love his music, his videos, and his movements and if you love to dance, you should purchase this. I play this to enjoy the music and to dance and I really do not care about my score. I will also state that my 4 year old son enjoys the game, thankfully however he does not yet understand the moves where he grabs his “private areas” (I try not to play those games around him).

This game is a total blast! I love it and its a great work out too. You find yourself dancing and singing and forgetting about how long youve been playing and pretty soon youve worked up quite a sweat! Like other reviewers have mentioned, I didnt like that you had to unlock Training Videos, those should be accessible from the beginning. I also dont like to have to enter my name each time to enter a high score. It seems you should be able to create a profile like you can on other games and use that profile when you play. Other than that I love it! I hope that more songs are made available to purchase because I certainly would…PYT, Rockin Robin, ABC, State of Shock, and Scream would all be so much fun to dance to also…Great purchase!
