Bought as Xmas gift for 5 year old that just discovered MJ. She loves it and won’t stop dancing. Also a great work out for adults. The dancing is much faster and harder than Just Dance. But also a lot more fun. Kids may have difficulty getting high scores with all the intricate moves. One other con is there are dance lessons but you have to earn stars to be able to access. It will take my 5 year old a long time to earn access. But at least she’ll have a good time trying.
I bought this game while my mom was visiting, at the suggestion of one of her friends, for something fun to do. Who would think that we both loved it so much that she ordered one for her wii and bought one as a birthday gift for my aunt. This game is so much fun that you don’t even realize that you’re burning calories. I’ve started to incorporate it into my workout plan because I can do this for an easy hour and get cardio in while having a great time. Plus, it’s really fun to try and beat your previous scores. Definitely recommend this for anyone who likes to dance and likes Michael Jackson’s music/videos.
I purchased the Wii system just for the Michael Jackson experience! I grew up living a couple houses up from him when he was about 17 years old. My mom loved his music and so did I. I love this game and it is an excellent workout — it may look easy but it’s not–the best thing though is you can dance just like Michael and that gets you through it! It let’s you know you got one of his moves right, the screen flashes ‘perfect!’ I just wish there were more songs–MJ experience 2?? He will always be missed. He was the only King of Pop–now he gets to dance for God! Highly recommend this!
I was a little skeptical about this game, but bought it during a great sale. We love the Just Dance Wii games, but for some reason I thought the MJ game wouldn’t have enough song variety. Boy oh boy was I wrong! There is music for days, and lots of variety in the dance routines too. This game is great and the whole family (from 6 to adult) loves to play it.We’ve even invited people over to play with us. Playing with two players is awesome – it gives you great routines where you are dancing with each other (as apposed to both doing the same exact dance).I will say that the navigation took some getting used to, but overall, the game is awesome.
This game is awesome!! I use it as my daily workout and stress reliever. I am a die-hard MJ fan and my 9-year old son is twice as devoted to Michael as I am. He LOVES Michael since he was a toddler and he taught himself to moonwalk, tiptoe and may signature MJ moves. When this game was announced I HAD to get it for his birthday! This game is totally amazing. The interface is nice but still easy to navigate; We love the song selection: classic hits like Billie Jean, Thriller, Beat it, Bad, Smooth Criminal, etc. are all there, but also several funky disco hits like Rock with you, Sunset Driver and more; they even managed to choreograph some ballads and other songs like Who is it and Money, which is nice! The Dance school is pretty good, although, compared to the sophistication of the training modes on the new dance games for the Kinect, this is merely a collection of video tutorials. You have to dance and win star points to unlock more training routines, which keeps you motivated. The songs range from reasonably easy to almost impossible in level of difficulty. But even some songs that are marked easy, may be quite challenging, so there is very little room for boredom here. One of the few things my son and I found annoying, is that they changed up some classic choreographies: Thriller and Beat it, to be specific. They are so different from the original that is even laughable, but I guess they have to make it possible for all people to dance. We were a bit disappointed because.
I was absolutely frustrated initially with this dancing game. HOWEVER–!!! Once I started getting the hand motions down, I was able to incorporate some of the leg/foot movements and really had a blast!It took about 5 minutes for me to get into a BIG sweat (I am 57 years old and totally out of shape)! It’s an excellent exercise video because you’re having so much fun you don’t realize you’re moving as much/as hard as you are. The first time I played, I only lasted 2 songs. I’m now up to 10 songs (in less than 5 days) & play the same one over & over again trying to get it down & “PERFECT!”I can’t wait until tomorrow–when I take this to my grandchildren’s home for Easter in Wisconsin & can get them into it! They’re already very active–soccer, baseball, basketball, swimming, etc. But I think this will purge some of that “extra energy” out of them–at least until they “beat Grandma!” :-) That shouldn’t take too long, LOL!BUY IT! YOU’LL LOVE IT! And don’t get frustrated. Just learn the hand movements first, THEN dance! It’s a game for those who aren’t coordinated–like me!
When I bought this, it was between this and Just Dance 2…sooooo glad I stuck with Michael! If you’re a fan of Michael, you will LOVE this! The choreography ranges from easy to difficult, depending on which songs you choose, making it a nice game for the family…I hope they come out with a part 2 because I felt some of his hits were missing (would have loved to dance to “Scream”)..even though I was introduced to a couple of songs I had never heard (and loved them)…My favorite dances are “Sunset Driver”, “Ghosts”, and “Speed Demon”…and of course “Thriller”….Buy it..you won’t regret it :)
I love any dancing game but having one specific to MJ makes me love it even more. It’s all the best songs and great graphics. It can be used as a workout and time passes by so fast that you don’t even realize you’ve had a full work out. Once I upgraded to a wii u, i haven’t played much with it anymore. Still good though.

The pictures were spot on; it was a perfect match.My only problem is on me. When shopping on retrolio, I can’t figure out what other items the shop has to offer for the same product. I don’t like having to order the same things, in different styles same prices and pay 2 different shipping fees. Once I learn that, I will become loyal to one shop for a particular product.Thanks so much for my gifts.
This is not the most advanced game out there; far from it. So all you read about the controller only tracking your hand, yadda, yadda, yadda…are true. But my kids are not “techie nerds” & just want to have fun. This delivers. Out of all the Xmas gifts, this game wins hands down for the most use thus far. My kids play, or dance, to it constantly. The music is great especially if you have a nice surround sound system. But most importantly the kids just love to dance along to it and cannot put it down. Money well spent. My kids are 10, 8, 7, and 5 year olds. They have hundreds of Wii, PS3, PSP, games. They play this one.

I’m mad it didn’t come with a glove like some games did. But who cares, I LOVE MICHAEL JACKSON and now I can dance like him! I got five stars my first time dancing Thriller! That’s how much of a fan I am yo! All of his best songs are on here and a few I hadn’t heard before. I wish SCREAM (MJ and Janet J) was on there because I LOOOOOVE Janet Jackson too. But she just needs her own game anyways…hint hint Wii!!My only con is that you have to build points to open new choreography. There are new songs to open and there’s no store to buy new songs like on JD or JD2. So I just have to concentrate on opening up all of the choreo games! Get this game if you like Wii dance games at all. You will not be sorry!MISS YOU MICHAEL!

For us, we enjoy this game. The dances are not easy, a bit of a work-out (that’s what I’d hoped for), but we all like a challenge. Not too hard to do, either, and there are settings for how hard you need each dance to be (you can select player by player so the dance can be harder for one player, and easier at the same time for another player). My kids range in ages 4 to 15 and we all can dance to this music. We like Michael Jackson’s music. I wouldn’t say we are huge fans, but it is all so familiar that it is enjoyable. We use four controllers so four of us dance at once, and the game “picks up” everything. We are having fun so far!

I purchased “Michael Jackson, The Experience” as a Christmas present for my Granddaughters, ages 15 & 17, both of whom are talented dance performers at school. They love the video & have been challenging each other daily since receiving it. They also say that it is a good workout as well as fun! I was impressed by the music clarity & variety & great graphics as well. I was led to purchase after reading so many positive reviews on retrolio & was glad I did. I was also very pleased with the speedy delivery.

I have tried the game and could not believe how the game was set up.There are levels you have to go through.I was thinking they would be teaching you the dance moves so you can get the routine down.But no to my dismay they want to teach you how to breath and stretch,whats up with that? I played it once and have not tried it again.If you can pick up the steps and movements on your own or through repeating it over and over without getting bored you should like this game.The music was good but that was a given .Hey its Michael Jackson. I would have enjoyed the game better if the levels taught the steps so you know what your in for.I did not enjoy learning about the dancers and their lives I didn’t buy the game to learn about the trainers or what ever they are suppose to be.I wanted to dance with Michael.This game made me feel like I was suppose to know who these people were,(I don’t care)it would have been a lot better if Michael showed you the steps in slow motion and you worked up to the normal speed.I cant believe the makers of the game didn’t see that.I bought it to dance with Mike and dance like Mike. DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not a Michael Jackson fan. I am a dancing-for-exercise fan, and this game can give about an hour of good exercise. Many of the songs have choreography that can provide a very good workout. Some of the songs (Billie Jean, Who Is It, Heal The World) do not. Since I use this for exercise, I of course wish that some song choices were different, and some choreography choices were different. (I would have expected Billie Jean to be good exercise, but it is not.)The game is similar in many ways to the Just Dance series. Actually, it is very similar to Just Dance 1 – there are no ‘extra’ options such as random or continuous. As with Just Dance, the songs continue to play even if you aren’t holding the Wii-Mote. The choreography is distinctly different, though, and presumably mimics what was used in MJ’s videos (simplified, I’m sure).I haven’t done much with the extra ‘lessons’, which as others have stated have instructions not for the game, but for moves in actual music videos.The songs that I do are definitely fun. Bad, Thriller, Black & White, Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Ghosts, Remember The Time, Speed Demon, Street Walker, In The Closet – these are the best exercise songs (at least for me). There are a few others that can be used as well. There is time spent in song transition, during which I keep moving to keep my heart rate up.I’m giving it 4 stars since some of the song choices seem rather dull from a dancing perspective (waving your hands in the air for Save the.

I was surprised when an associate of mine invited me to play it and I enjoyed the experience. I am not a Michael Jackson fan and before I played this game I couldn’t have listed a single song of his except Thriller. Now, while I am still not a huge fan of his music, I am a huge fan of this game! I decided I could use it for a bit of an exercise program since it has a great deal of movement. I think this game is a great deal of fun simply for the set up and movement it encourages.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!I can’t express to you how much this has made my working out experience the best to the tenth power! I have lost even more weight and have picked up some hott dance moves from working out with MJ. I’ve learned the words to songs that were my favorite MJ songs. And there are many other songs on here that I never knew were by MJ, they are rockin as well. “Street Fighter” and “Ghost” are two of my favorite songs to work out to. Me and MJ meet each other on my living room floor almost everyday, lol. You will not be disappointed!!!

Concurring with so many other reviewers, this game is loads of fun for young and old alike. It’s easy to follow and makes me forget about how hard I’m working…until the song is over and I realize my heart is pounding and I’m breathing heavily! While I’m unsure that this is teaching me dance moves I’ll ever use, I do know that I’m having a good cardio work out and actually get tired before I ever get bored. It’s a brilliant addition to my exercise regimen and if I had any complaint at all it would be that I don’t really care for holding the Wii remote while I’m dancing. Nonetheless, I’m still having fun moving to songs that bring back good memories…and reminding me, that even though I’m 48, “I’m Bad”!!!

Bought this video because my granddaughter was coming to visit and she has been playing everyday for the past week. It is great watching her enjoy the music that I have loved for years and that her daddy) grew up listening to. The music selection is good although I would have liked to see man in the mirror and dancing machine (maybe one with the old J5 stuff?). Overall the quality of the video is great and we haven’t had any trouble with the Wii-mote accurately capturing our “moves” or delayed tracking. My first attempt at Rock with You yielded four stars (oh yeah, I rock). The video is great exercise for me (I’m 50) and my granddaughter (11). It is pretty easy to catch on to the moves.
