This is a fun game. I wonder if the death of the PS3 Network is partly to blame for all the frustration and low reviews. Listening to people complain about the length of the single player campaign is absurd given the number of games that now focus on multiplayer. This is a multiplayer game after all. The RPG elements are well thought out, and the game actually has well planned classes that encourage team play. There are no single shot kills ala MW2, nor are you going to see the same gun, same class, same perks, same everything over and over because only one load out is worth taking. That isn’t what brink is meant to be. Also, the different body types and weapon load outs work quite well. As you develop your character the game really opens up. I am enjoying the game, and only wished that I could have jumped online sooner rather than later. I am hoping that they add downloadable content at some point, as additional levels would be great. Also, this game is taking some risks, something many games aren’t doing anymore. I like the movement system. It works quite well. The levels are really clever and reward different styles of play. Choke points are only that way if you can’t figure out (which is easy) how to outflank the other team. There are multiple ways to navigate the maps, and depending on body type (i.e. light players can get more places) additional pathways open up. But, this is at the expense of health and weapon options. Once again, there are choices to be made. It’s a f.

I’ve got this for my little bro and He said ” It’s beast, fun, fast paced, and enjoyable. A recommended game by me.” He is a good reviewer and he said “Try it for yourself and see if you like it.”* It’s a good game and little “bad references” (besides civil war and guns) An intuitive, “strategic”, dynamic, and awesome game for anyone willing to play. 5/5*Disclaimer: This is his opinion not yours. Try it from Redbox, Gamefly, or any other renting place BEFORE YOU BUY IT!

Ok, people looked very forward to this game. It came out, they spent $60 on it, and of course they were upset. This game is simply not worth $60. But now that this game comes in at under $10, I’d say it’s entirely worth it. It’s fun, it’s pretty, it’s different than a lot of other games I’ve played lately. The jumping over/under objects is pretty well-done. If you’re on a budget, I’d say it’s entirely worth it.

Great product, overall. The packing was pretty crappy, but the game works great!

For starters, I’m on PS3, so I didn’t have the network for a month. In that time (I got this game on the day it released), I too discovered something that numerous others have since pointed out: THE A.I. IN THIS GAME SUCKS. But hey, it’s difficult to build a game with even decent A.I., and more so with a squad mechanic like that in Brink. I get the feeling that the offline Campaign mode (like most modern FPS’) was just to play with the core concepts of the game (helping teammates, navigating with parkour, etc.), in preparation for the eight-on-eight multiplayer. I say this because the online mode is basically identical to the Campaign mode, save the fact that real people are at the other end of your enemy’s and team’s avatars–instead of some crappy bot. (Although, because the game has built-in team balancing, bots can still be at play in online matches, so be aware of who’s got your back.)The bottom line is that Brink is a fast-paced and fun squad-based shooter. It’s reminiscent of Team Fortress for PC, and gives you that awesome “Yeah, we did it!” feeling when things go right for your team. Brink is objective-based, with RPG elements such as character XP and a perks system, and therefore more similar to Sony’s MAG. However, what’s really different about Brink isn’t the much-touted parkour elements, but instead the focus on making a team-based, objective-oriented shoot ’em up…fun. In my opinion, Bethesda did this pretty darn well.Sure: the A.I. puts the offline game somewh.

This game ‘Brink’ is awesome! Well, awesome for those of us who like war games. It does seem more futuristic. Anyway, I personally like the character customization. I recommend this game to anyone who likes to shoot, customize, and have fun.
