Burnout 3 is the best game I’ve ever played in my life.I like the crashing, and how you can win all the cars and trucks, and all the explosions. I like how the cars look so realistic.Burnout 3 is a great game. You should buy it now!

Remember how it feels after riding on a roller coaster? The smile that doesn’t go away, the exhilaration, and the feeling of having your stomach turned upside down? That’s what this game does to you. Burnout 3: Takedown can be summed up in 3 simple words: Buy this game!I’m not a huge fan of driving/racing simulators, where the goal is to cross the finish line in first place, and that’s it. Call me morbid, but I love nitrous, broken windshields, exploding gas tanks, and parts flying. Put Gran Turismo, Twisted Metal and F-Zero in a blender, and you get Burnout 3: Takedown. Yes, it is a racing game, however, the goal isn’t to just come in first place. Performing “takedowns” of other vehicles is a key ingredient. Bumping and crashing your opponents into walls and guard rails (among other things) and causing their utter destruction not only propels you past them in rank, but earns you boost (nitro) power which is a necessity. In addition, the more opposing cars you takedown, the more points and takedowns you earn to unlock new cars and new tracks. You also earn boost power by driving into oncoming traffic and near misses with non-racing vehicles. The goal is to try and get gold medals in each course or mission. That being said, the other cars can take you down as well, and cause you to lose the race if you fall too far behind. It doesn’t stop there. There are more than just races. There is Crash mode, which in a way, is a puzzle of sorts. You get a designated vehicle, and the goal.

Burnout has been one of the most suprising video game series ever since the release of the original Burnout nearly 3 years ago. The combination of high-speed racing and the ability to create some serious havoc when you crash has made both Burnout and Burnout 2: Point of Impact suprise hits. Now that the duties of the Burnout series have been passed down from the now-defunct Acclaim Games to the hands of EA (Electronic Arts)Games, the question of what would happen with future volumes in the series is answered with Burnout 3: Takedown.Takedown takes a few old things that have been Burnout standards and adds a few lovely new twists. One such is the Boost Meter, which fills whenever you make smart and slick driving moves during the race like nearly missing other cars, drifting (taking a curve or turn without gas/braking and leting your momentum carry you through it), driving in oncoming traffic, catching air off huge hills, and causing other racers to crash, which is now referred to as a Takedown. Now the meter is available to use all race long as long as you make sure that you fill it, whereas in the previous games you had to fill it completely to use it.Another new twist is called Aftertouch, which is like Bullet Time for a crash. The instant you crash, you can go into a slow-mo crash mode and use the analog stick to direct your wreck to hit any other racer’s car, causing a Takedown. The only downside is that if you take a racer down, that racer is going to go gunning for y.

whoever wrote the poopsmith is back in town is wierd. there is no nudity what so ever. the crashes are insane and not like little kids gettin boo boos. enough with that i’m goin crazy because i read that review. the story mode is a crash tour. you go around 3 continents and crash every where including races. when you crash they have somthing called impact time where you can preform aftertouch takedowns aka crashed crashes. you crash around the world and get trophies which lead to fast crashing cars. like in ssx 3 there is a radio man. in stead of radio big it’s crash fm. 2 player mode is cool because it could be a duel with your friend or a race with coms. did i leave a review on this game beacuase i’m not sure? back to poopsmith review, do you go on homestarrunner.com because there’s a poop smith on that website.

Bought this game for my Son’s Birthday, he loves playing it. He has a series of Burnout Games, but never had this one, so he was very pleased with it and gets a lot of enjoyment from it.

I had borrowed need for speed from my friend, and it had a burnout 3 demo on it, so I cheaked it out. I played that demo for soo long and I knew I had to get the game. This game is great and the races are intense, especially when you get faster cars. This game was a great addition to the collection. 10 out of 10. My new favorite racing game.

This is by far the best game in the Burnout series. I have all three. This game is great especially since EA decided to help produce this one. You get all of the special features of a big name game company (like actual songs from actual artists and online play) while still enjoying the simple fun of a small brand game. Don’t get me wrong this game is very complex, but the idea is the same, do the best crashes and finish first. I know some people are complaining about the lousy soundtrack, and I partailly agree. Some of the songs are pretty good (like the ones by Jimmy Eat World and New Found Glory) but most of them are stupid garage punk rock bands that don’t know the first thing about music. The other downside is that stupid Striker announcer guy. The graphics are great, but like some of the other reviewers noted, it’s not the ultra-realistic gran turismo graphics, but they are still one of the better PS2 games for graphics. Oh and there is soo much more stuff to this game. 100 crash junctions, 40 levels, almost 60 cars and thats just the start of. It also comes preloaded with the Need For Speed Underground 2 demo, and it seems like a pretty good game. Overall Burnout 3 is highly addicting and fun.
