If you played FFT for PSOne or Advance, you’ve pretty much played this game. But that doesn’t mean that this game is not solid, because it undeniably IS. Just when I thought that FFT couldn’t possibly achieve more replay value, they go and add the Dark Knight job class, which requires you to master (i.e. learn ALL of the skills for…) Knight and Black Mage as well as gain level 8 for the Dragoon, Geomancer, Ninja, and Samurai. That easily adds over 10 hours of gameplay to a game that already required about 40 or 50 hours to complete–and I use the word complete lightly. For those who are new to the FFT universe, this game is a Medieval-inspired, turn-based strategy role playing game with a compelling (albeit a bit convoluted) storyline, and an extremely addictive character development component called a job system. For example, the main character Ramza begins the game as a Squire, But he may change between any of the following jobs eventually: Chemist, Archer, Knight, Onion Knight, White Mage, Black Mage, Time Mage, Monk, Thief, Summoner, Dragoon, Ninja, Samurai, Geomancer, Mystic, Orator, Bard, Arithmetician, Dark Knight, and Mime. There are also other characters in the story whose inherent job classes cannot be shared such as the Machinist, Skyseer, or Sword Saint. Add to that the ability to inter-mix different abilities and you have a plethora of different combinations to make a wholly unique and powerful soldier. There’s not enough space to go into details about this game,.

What a GREAT remake for the PSP. You are a final fantasy saga fan or a strategy/tactical gamer? you MUST play this game. The PSOne version was good, but with the new cinematics and voice acting the game rocks even more than ever. You will never get tired of playing over and over again!

an awesome game for the ps even better for the psp lots more added in amazing story first time payer or returner a definite must play.

It was fun, but with the pan around, you don’t really need to go through the trouble of buying a PSP or the PSP version unless you don’t have internet.

If you are a final fantasy fan like me, well then there is no need trying to persuade you into getting this game, but if you dont know anything about final fantasy tactics well heres some info, this game was originally released for the play station , later on brought to the psp. it is a strategy turn based game. This game is challenging and at the same time a walk in the park, there is little to moderate level of grinding in this game if you are only aiming for story mode completionhowever, if you fully wish to complete the entire game + after end things, this game will easily provide you with 40+ hours of gameplayaction effects are awesome and brings light to the eyethere is drama, romance, tragedy, and plot twists in the story. i enjoyed the story myselfpros:good storygood action gameplay+40 hours of playtime guaranteecons:it can get repetitively boring

I can’t begin to count how many reviews have come out for this game comparing it to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (here on “FFTA”) I wish they wouldn’t do that. This is very much the original game with some key improvements. While I, like many would very much like to see a sequel to this game a well done remake is just as good. With 2 added characters, Classes (Jobs), Multiplayer, smoothed over graphics, smoother game play and updated script and wording to truly resemble a very “Feudal Age England” Square Enix has truly turned a legend into a Classic. Many complain that some of the more forgivable features of FFTA (changing Equipment and Jobs pre battle as opposed to preparing before landing on a battle area & the ability to redo a move should it be a mistake.) Quite a few Tactical RPG’s support as unforgiving a Battle System as the Original Final Fantasy Tactics. Although I would have enjoyed some new content and a bit more in the area of side quests I do love the fact that the PSP now has a shinning title that will perhaps give it a much needed boost to attract in even more exceptional games.

FFT:TWotLis a deep, involving strategy game. I played the heck out of the original; one summer I logged over 100 hours on the game. This port is a vast improvement as far as the translation, given that the storyline is full of political intrigue, underhanded deals and such, the original translation made it difficult to follow the story. As other reviewers have noted there is slowdown when characters are setting off magic spells and the like, but I’ve found I’ve gotten used to it. I take advantage of it as a way to plan my next move! There are also a few new battles, cutscenes and characters, so if you played the original version you’ll be treated to some surprises! I also enjoy the animated cutscenes though I found I’ve been mispronouncing Ramza’s name this whole time…it’s ‘RAHM-za’ not ‘RAM-za’, lolThis game, especially given its bargain price, is a great investment for fans of the original Tactics and other strategy games.

It is a fun strategy game. It is not your usual final fantasy game. Good graphics and fun to play. Great story.

  9. Deven

this game is one of the best.

  10. Wayne Wong

The game itself is great and fun. There was slow downs with certain skills but I bought this game knowing that.Thew only unfortunate part is that I am unable to participate in any of the multilayer battles since I don’t know anyone else who has this game. It would have been great If I was allowed to solo the multilayer in some way, but since I can’t I can only give it a 4 star rating as I could not access all the game’s features.
