Quite easily the best title in the franchise so far, Yakuza 0 brings some new dynamics to the forefront as soon as you press start.I find it awesome that you can play as a young Kiyru-Chan and Majima-San, and speaking of young, the game is set in the prosperous 1980’s japan with neon lights everywhere.Introduced in this game is a new form of passive skills called the completion point system. The game awards you completion points for doing most anything, from something really simple as walking x amount of kilometers on foot, to more difficult tasks such as winning x amount of money at the casino games. But in the end It’s very rewarding to collect these passive skills. (I recommend to get the limit breaker as soon as possible for both characters.)Also it gives you the chance to play some classic Sega arcade titles such as Outrun and Space Harrier (there are two more unlockable games, but i’m not going to ruin the surprise.) Speaking of mini games, there are two whole new mini game that feel like they would have been their own stand alone titles. These are the pocket circuit mini game and the business mini games. The pocket circuit game has it’s own leangthy sub store attatched to it, and it’s also incredibility in depth. The business mini game is time consuming, but the more fun of the two have to be Majima-San’s business. The level up system is done by money. You have to invest money in yourself to level up your skills.A farcry from the previous level up systems. But by the e.

Love the series and yakuza 0 is definitely top 5 of best yakuza games ever. So much to do and a approved combat system where u can switch styles on the fly is pretty damn sweet.

  3. Herman

The makers for this series did a great job. The story is fun to follow and the cinematics are excellent. There are so many things to do in this game besides the main story. You have all kinds of mini games and side stories. I can’t wait to go to the next one.

What can I say, one of Japan’s most beloved series debuts on the PS4 as a prequel. 79 hrs in, I’m only 49% complete. It’s a brawler, meets RPG, meets FedEx deliveries (I know some people hate those and fetch missions) meets Japan’s fun and wacky idiosyncrasies with over the top characters that make it work. My work/life balance needs re-evaluation. I wish for more exposure to the West for this series. Game is subtitled, but after an hr. it wasn’t even noticeable, and really became part of what the game is. I’m Looking forward to the Yakuza1 re-make (or whatever you want to call it).

Great game, a little slow in the start but, gets super better later on. Also there no english voice acting so get use to reading subs.Overall I like it 7.6-10.

    Fast shipping and as described.

What can I say about this franchise it’s finally getting the shine it deserves well sort of but the series and all this is just flat-out amazing I hate the GTA clone comparisons play it and you will see why Sega is still one of the best top notch Publishers and Developers give this game a chance it will not let you down

  8. MabelleKeeling

The best in the series yet! Sega should be the standard bearer for all future Western game localizations. They didn’t have to compromise at all on the source material and the game is all the better for it. A must for Sega fanboys. Can’t wait for Yakuza 6!

  9. DigiMaeve

I played this before the other Yakuza games, so came in with no knowledge of the series. Fun, heartbreaking, interesting. Equal amounts text reading/story and fighting, which I enjoyed.

  10. Michael Reid

Yakuza 0 to me feels like an awesome blend of Shenmue and the Streets of Rage series. The fighting system is very intriguing, and the two playable characters in game are really fun to play with! Although, the side activities don’t really add much to the experience add feel rather tacked on compared to Shenmue. That said, I’m enjoying the game for what it is, and I highly recommend it!
