RIYL-James Franco-baby boomers’ obsession with sex-school dances where your least favorite teacher dances-classic American vistas…with a twistHOW BUD NEVER HEARD OF PIZZA? YOU DESERVE TO FLUNK YALE
Moral: Just put out when he asks you to. It’s no big deal, and then move on from there. Otherwise you end up in a mental institution.
Get to watch Natalie Wood…you can’t beat that. The plot is pretty unrealistic by today’s standards; the girl goes crazy (like in nuthouse) because she can’t/won’t have sex with her boyfriend. In the end, she finally gets out; he’s married with children, and all our hearts break.
Classic romantic teenage love and despair of two teenagers taking two seperate unaware directions in life.
The two actors are Natalie Wood she plays Deanie and Warren Beatty plays Bud. Takes place in a Kansas town in the 1920’s. They love each other but they are to young, They can’t handle the conflict between respectable behavior and human desire. This will push Bud into physical collapse and Deanie to madness.
I did not get this. What though we lose the glory of the flower or the splendor of the grass, we grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind.
Splendor in the Grass is a Classic movie from 1961 starring Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty in his first role. It’s about a couple who are first in Love but separate. My Dad saw this film at the time in 1961. He was only around 30 at the time. One of the better films of my Dad’s time.
Great Classic MovieWish it had been shot in 4K HD, but HD was just science fiction dream back then…
