I ordered this game for my son. It arrived sooner than we thought. While it was used, it was in great condition. My son played it as soon as it was out of the package, which was very secure, and has been playing it since. If he needs another game or such, we will shop for it on Amazon.com first. Overall, this was a good online shopping experience for us. I’d recommend it to others.Thank you.Denise Cochran

I’m glad that this game had a working battery in it. The game itself is fun.

works as expected.

I love the simplicity of the older generations of pokemon games. The newer gamesindeed have some cool features and creatures, but it’s gotten to the point of almost being too much in terms of catching them all for me. I appreciate going back and replaying the gold version.

Awesome game, brought me back to my childhood :) One I received didn’t have a dead battery, and was in great condition!

I paid top price for this original GAME BOY Color Pokémon Cartridge $273.27. This is game that is no longer manufactured, and made only for the GAME BOY Color unit. The game cartridge has a battery in the unit, that maintains the memory for the games history. after about 10 years in use or not the battery needs to be replaced. Replacing the battery requires special screwdriver andbattery available thru AMAZON.COM, costing about 6-10 dollars. depending on what models you choose. the replacement procedure is easy, and requires a soldering iron, solder sucker. This game was purchased as a Birthday Gift for our daughter, 13 Years of age. I would have no problem recommending this to anyone else who might have the early game as there are many cartridges available at reasonable prices under 20 or 30 dollars. We purchased the gold collectors cartridge as it is just that a collectors item.

I bought this game used in hopes of bringing back some nostalgia since I was fairly young when the ‘Poke-boom’ was in effect back in 1999. The game worked great, sound was perfect, graphics never aged a year but one thing that took away that experience was the Save Function. The battery for the save function inside the cartridge ran out of power, therefore it never let me save my game.If you are wanting to buy this game used, make sure to buy a screwdriver to open GameBoy cartridges & a watch battery to fix the issue.
