Pokemon Gold for Gameboy Color takes place several years after Red, Blue and Yellow, and puts the user into a brand new world, Johto. The gameplay is very similar to the previous games but with many improvements. These include new functions for the player’s Pokegear, a Pokedex that can now be sorted by evolution type and of course, many new Pokemon to catch and train! The objective of the game is to become the champion trainer, and try to complete the Pokedex. To become the champion, the player battles Gym Leaders to obtain various badges. Completing the Pokedex requires a different set of actions, and involves capturing wild Pokemon, battling various trainers to obtain money, and trading Pokemon with NPC’s and other players of Pokemon games.

It’s okay, except that I can’t save my games.. didn’t realize the battery wasn’t included. I don’t remember reading that in the description, but oh well, at least I can play.

Never played a Pokémon game before, and this game was very fun to play. It was easy to learn what all to do. It has a good length to it, as in it’s a game you won’t finish in 1 day. Took me a good month with average playing. Maybe longer. This game is certainly worth the money.

It’s in very good condition. The major concern is the lithium battery needs to be replaced in order to have the save data function work on gbc. Thank you.

Didn’t save, and I realized this after my brother got to Violet City. Though I was expecting for it to not save, I installed the battery and then it was able to save his adventures. Though, at one point, the game malfunctioned and he made the terrible decision to save in a glitchy state and he lost his Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Feraligatr… It was a goft from me to him, I was going to go through Gold to find all the Pokemon I couldn’t find in Silver, but he wanted my 2nd Pokemon Silver copy, so I killed two birds with one stone and gave him Gold.

My game arrived with black marker all over the front. Game only plays for a few minutes before freezing. Not worth the $50 I was charged

Great game however this seller did not replace the save game battery which was not fun to find out after I started playing and did not have my game saved.

Bought a year ago and still have not been able to play as the game doesn’t save. Pretty bummed about that
