Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike
Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike is an action video game developed by Factor 5 and published by LucasArts for the GameCube. The game is set during the original Star Wars trilogy and recreates battles that take place during those films. And the game follows the Rogue Squadron, which, under the command of Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles. And uses starfighters to engage and defeat the Galactic Empire.
However, Rebel Strike was developed as a sequel to Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader. Also Rebel Strike added the ability for players to leave their starfighters to participate in ground battles. As well as enter and pilot other vehicles during certain missions. Also the game has a two-player multiplayer mode allowing cooperative play for all but two missions from Rogue Leader.
Gameplay
Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike features gameplay in ground vehicles and on foot, a first for the series.
Moreover, in Rebel Strike the player controls several Star Wars vehicles such as the X-wing and AT-ST across missions that span the movies and moments outside the films. Also it contains on-foot missions in addition to the space battle missions found in the previous Rogue Squadron series games. Also the game includes some unlockable classic missions inspired by the Star Wars original trilogy.
The game also features two multiplayer modes: Co-op and Versus. Co-op allows players to replay missions from Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader in split-screen, excluding the levels Triumph of the Empire and Revenge on Yavin. But in Co-op, players share the same pool of lives. And versus features a variety of modes, such as Dogfight and Survival. In any Versus mode, players can pilot several craft, including X-Wings, A-Wings, TIE Fighters, and Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced.

Having not actually played the full game I cannot give it a star rating.I have played the demo, many people think that the ground controles are clumsey, they are but that is not a good reason to not buy the game. I mean the flights in space more than make up for it and its not like the ground missions are impossible.I admit having a camera control would be nice but they still make it relitivly easy to distroy all the enemys. So if you like the star wars games you will most likly think this game is worth geting.

First. I have never liked Star Wars games, they are either to long and boring, they didn’t feel like Star Wars, or are meant for dia hard gamers. I got this game as a gift from my brother who is the only person I know loves star wars games since the Nintendo games.Boy I was in for a pleasant and unexpected surprise. This game is very good. And you really feel you are part of the trilogy. Locations are great, graphics are good 5 channel sound I liked. Best of all gameplay is great. Although the flying parts of the missions are kind of difficult to learn if you are not familiar with other Rogue Squadron games or ones that require flying, they are a lot of fun.I already finished the regular missions, but I feel the need to get the medals to unlock the bonus missions, which are five, I already got three and have played the first one. I like the fact that you want to play more even when the main story is finished, not like other games that you are in an urge to beat them just to know the ending and get it over with.I like the fact that you can play not only with luke, but with Han, Wedge, Chewie driving an Imperial Walker and that bring us to another cool part, you get to drive different kind of vehicles and fly different ships in some missions you can choose which you want to fly.If you are a beginner you will enjoy it and if there are missions which are too difficult you can enter a passcode for unlimited lives or to unlock the different features, but you can’t unlock the bonus.

When i first heard about Rebel Strike, I just assumed that it would be like the others. I was very wrong. Having played the demo, I am in awe of how far games have come. The graphics and sound are amazing, almost lifelike. The gameplay is what you expect, with new stuff such as multiplayer(Which includes the full Rogue Squadron 2 game to play in), being able to get out of your ship, and use things such as Taun-Tauns, speeder bikes, and of course, Lightsabers. All in all, I cannot wait until this game will be released…

I think Rebel Strike is a great game overall. It’s got good graphics, good sountracks, very good gameplay and takes you a little beyond the movies. It’s a decent challenge, althought it’s pretty straightforward, and since it has unlockable levels it’s still challenging after you’ve beaten the game. And, of course, for all you lazy cheaters out there, it has plenty of cheats and glitches- especially unlockable ships. These are my ratings for this game:Difficulty: 3/5- it’s fairly challenging, though not exceptionallyStrategy (puzzles and things like that): 1/5- this game is pretty straightforwardGraphics: 4/5- great, smooth graphicsMusic: 5/5- this is an exceptional game as far as music goes, especially since it keeps true to the moviesLongevity (how long you’re going to want to play the game): 3/5-the normal levels go by pretty quickly, and after you unlock all the unlockable levels there’s not much to do any moreMultiplayer: 4/5- Great multiplayer with several modes you can challenge your friends in and lots of ships and levels to useControls: 4/5- very good controls that are easy to use and use wellCharacters: 3/5- decent characters but not too many new onesOverall: 4/5- rebel strike is a great game overall and makes a great addition to any gamecube collectionPros:*Great graphics and music*Good levels and a good plot that stay true to the movies but take you beyond the movies for extra fun*Easy controls so you can make the best of your game*Great variety of different worlds.

This game is awesome because there are three arcade games that you can play that were released by Atari in 1983. There are also lots of other cool things about this game that I love, but my favorite mission is Fondor Shipyard Assault. You get to protect a rebel transport that is programmed to run into a shield station. You can play bonus missions like Attack on the Executor and Flight from Bespin. Those are my favorites because they are challenging and fun. It’s like in the movies, but different because the player gets to be a part of the action. I would recommend this game to every Star Wars fan!
