Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike
Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike is an action video game developed by Factor 5 and published by LucasArts for the GameCube. The game is set during the original Star Wars trilogy and recreates battles that take place during those films. And the game follows the Rogue Squadron, which, under the command of Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles. And uses starfighters to engage and defeat the Galactic Empire.
However, Rebel Strike was developed as a sequel to Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader. Also Rebel Strike added the ability for players to leave their starfighters to participate in ground battles. As well as enter and pilot other vehicles during certain missions. Also the game has a two-player multiplayer mode allowing cooperative play for all but two missions from Rogue Leader.
Gameplay
Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike features gameplay in ground vehicles and on foot, a first for the series.
Moreover, in Rebel Strike the player controls several Star Wars vehicles such as the X-wing and AT-ST across missions that span the movies and moments outside the films. Also it contains on-foot missions in addition to the space battle missions found in the previous Rogue Squadron series games. Also the game includes some unlockable classic missions inspired by the Star Wars original trilogy.
The game also features two multiplayer modes: Co-op and Versus. Co-op allows players to replay missions from Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader in split-screen, excluding the levels Triumph of the Empire and Revenge on Yavin. But in Co-op, players share the same pool of lives. And versus features a variety of modes, such as Dogfight and Survival. In any Versus mode, players can pilot several craft, including X-Wings, A-Wings, TIE Fighters, and Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced.

This was a disappointing follow-up to Rogue Squadron II. It has too many first-person levels where you control a person rather than a starfighter. Some of these are fun, especially the speeder bike and AT-ST on Endor. However, there are enough other games like that where I don’t feel a need to buy another one. There are a few good starfighter missions – most notably the attack on the Executor – but it’s too few to make it worth a separate purchase.

I really like the game, I had only played the demo before but it’s rather challenging. If you like old newer games this is a great game to get

I bought this game 3 weeks ago and I can honestly say it is the best star wars game ever !!!!! It isn’t a big factor that you can’t control the camera ,but it is superb. The multiplayer is the best I’ve ever played. The fact that they added the whole rogur leader game is the best co-op I ever played. If I could I would give it 10 stars but the option was only 5 max. The levels are longer than normal and the graphics are a little better. Remember, from shooting storm troopers on foot, to controlling the head on an at-at, the game is wicked. Buy it from amazom.ca!!!!

I ran to buy this game when it came out. I was a bit dissapointed with the walking-missions because you only have to tap the A button as fast as you can and there are very few movements. I also thought that when you got the lightsaber, you would have some kick-ass moves, but you can oly deflect lasers and hit enemies. On the other hand, I liked a lot most of the flight missions (especially the "Fondor" one, where you steal a tie hunter). The missions in speeder bike and AT-ST are VERY good (I rally liked the one in the forest because those funny bear things, apart from helping you dropping logs to desroy the other AT-STs, can be squashed).Another thing that I didn’t like was that it was a bit too short and the last bonus mission (the onethat goes before the frustrating level called Rebel something) that seemed to be the one of the best in the game, was way too easy.
