If you liked the Metroid Prime games from the Gamecube, you’ll really love this, but don’t expect anything new. Yes, the first two games now feature the Wii controls similar to the third, as well as wide-screen gameplay. Unfortunately, there’s almost no new content. Most of the unlockables are now accessed through the credit system used in MP:Corruption. Still, I think this is a must-have for Metroid and Wii fans.

metroid prime trilogy is a compilation set which includes 3 of the very best games in this 2 generation.this collector edition set is a must own for metroid fans, nintendo loyal fans and hardcore fans.this is a steal because the price is really right.i highly recommend every to get it !

If you can find this game, I highly suggest you buy it.Yes it may be $70 at Gamestop…but it’s far worth more online and offline.Best Nintendo Games ever.Metroid Prime will create amazing nostalgia for you to remember.Metroid Prime 2: Echoes will show you how awesome different gameplay concepts can be. (Light World/ Dark World)Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is the most expolsive Metroid Prime game of all. Amazing graphics, story, etc.I’m so glad I got this game. I’ll never part with it.It’s awesome!

I bought this wii game as a gift and it’s great. I also play it with the wireless remotes bec its so much better to be wireless free. I sell was great also.. this was one of the number one games for wii on the G4 network ..

3 games for about $15 each, can’t get much better than that. If you’re a fan of Metroid, or Metroid Prime, than GET THIS! You will love it. The use of the Wii controller is SOOO cool. I love how they incorporated all three of these games to be used with the Wii controller. Definitely worth it!!!

You won’t believe it until you play it, this game is far the best wii game ever!!!! buy it, doesn’t matter the price, you won’t get it anywhere

The first two games are remastered in 16:9 and with the new controls. Unline God of War collection, which only used and upscaler and stretch out the image, this collection really remastered the aspect ratio. And Corruption is as good as the original version on the wii.Excellent collection, must buy if a wii owner.

I don’t know if you ever played any of the Metroid games on the classic Nintendo. I did and loved them.I just picked up the new Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii. It’s actually the first two trilogy games that came out on the Nintendo GameCube and the final chapter that came out on the Wii. The GameCube versions were revamped to use the Wii controllers.I have to say, this is one of the most fun games I’ve played in a long time. I’ve played a few first person shooters on the XBOX or PS2 but the controls just haven’t been nearly as comfortable as my keyboard and mouse that I’m used to. I still haven’t tried The Force Unleashed on the Wii but with Metroid I feel like this is the first time that they have gotten it right. You use the nunchuck for the movement and use the Wii remote as your targeting and viewing. Buttons on both controllers facilitate the myriad of actions you can perform. Honestly, this setup is more natural and fun than any I have ever used on a console or computer. The storyline game play are really a lot of fun. If you’re a fan from the older series then seeing familiar characters and hearing the music will bring back a lot of fond memories. Sometimes when 2D games get brought into 3D it’s done in a very kiddie or cheesy way, or sometimes just doesn’t translate well at all. However, seeing my old 2D side-scrolling nemeses in full blown 3D moving around in live space is just awesome. They aren’t bloated cartoony characters (like many of the Nintendo.

Metroid Prime is a crowning achievement in the video game industry, and in my opinion, the definitive First Person Shooter of all time. I will admit I missed Metroid Prime during its initial release, as I wasn’t into console games at the time. I’ve never been able to connect with FPSs, even as my friends were really devoting a lot of time into them. It wasn’t until Metroid Prime that I discovered why. More than anything else, Metroid Prime is a perfectly complete game and no one who owns a Wii should miss this collection. The Metroid Prime port alone is more than worth the price of admission. Metroid Prime 2 and 3 are just gravy. The Metroid Prime Trilogy plays extremely well on the Wii. The game’s control scheme might surprise you. Like many aspects of the game, it goes against the conventions of the genre, going for a control set up that seems strikingly reminiscent of the 3D Zelda games. You move Samus with the nunchuck and aim with the Wiimote pointer, which is very well implemented and accurate. The game also uses a Z targeting system, allowing you to auto focus on an enemy and making combat more about maneuvering and aiming. Overall, the control scheme works perfectly well (Though I used to option to switch the “A” and “B” button configuration). The use of the nunchuck and Wiimote and well implemented and aside from flicking the Wiimote to jump in morph ball mode, feels very natural and non gimmicky. If you are unfamiliar with the Metroid games, they revolve aro.

Shortly put, this trilogy has the best that Nintendo has to offer for both average and hardcore gamers. Great controls, graphics, and environments have set the bar high back at the original release in 2004 and continue that tradition with the other two installments. This collection will keep you busy for well over 50 hours of awesome exploring and puzzle solving as well. Both of the Gamecube releases have been given a Wii facelift with some texture and lighting upgrades as well as new Wii-mote controls. This is a great buy for any fan or new player to the series. Due to the great value and awesome production values in the quality game I give the Metroid Prime Trilogy full marks.
